DADE CITY - A 43-year-old Dade City woman is facing a child abuse charge after officials said she used a stun gun on her 15-year-old son.

Cecilia Oliver, of 8815 Old Lakeland Highway, was released from the Pasco County jail in Land O'Lakes after posting $5,000 bond.

Oliver was arrested Wednesday after Pasco sheriff's deputies arrived at her home on a report of child abuse. Her son told deputies that his mother borrowed a stun gun from someone and zapped him on the arm several times, causing burn marks, according to a report with the Sheriff's Office.

Oliver told deputies she used the stun gun on her son "because of his behavior."
