NFL Picks

Published November 16, 2003

Packers (4-5) at Bucs (4-5)

Bucs pick off Favre three times, sack him three times but still have to hold on for close one.

Mills pick: Bucs 21, Packers 20

Ravens (5-4) at Dolphins (5-4)

What's happening in South Beach? Lost running game, erratic quarterback, embattled coach. Ravens run at them hard.

Mills pick: Ravens 20, Dolphins 10

Jaguars (2-7) at Titans (7-2)

The Titans are one of the top three teams in the league and are unbeaten at home. It's unlikely the Jaguars will pull off back-to-back upsets.

Mills pick: Titans 24, Jaguars 17

Rams (6-3) at Bears (3-6)

The Bears are playing out the season in anticipation of major changes. The Rams are looking for a division title. Easy pick here.

Mills pick: Rams 24, Bears 9

Texans (3-6) at Bills (4-5)

The Bills are not living up to their expectations but should catch a break against the Texans.

Mills pick: Bills 14, Texans 10

Redskins (4-5) at Panthers (7-2)

No one gives the Redskins any chance, despite their huge win last week over the Seahawks. I smell an upset.

Mills pick: Redskins 17, Panthers 14

Falcons (2-7) at Saints (4-5)

The mere image of Michael Vick at practice should have energized the Falcons. Payback is sweet.

Mills pick: Falcons 30, Saints 21

Cardinals (3-6) at Browns (3-6)

Considering the turmoil, the Browns are ripe for a butt whipping. Problem is the Cardinals can't do that to anyone on the road.

Mills pick: Browns 13, Cardinals 7

Chiefs (9-0) at Bengals (4-5)

When will the upset happen? Can Marvin Lewis and his charges stun the NFL and hold the Chiefs at bay? Nope.

Mills pick: Chiefs 27, Bengals 17

Giants (4-5) at Eagles (6-3)

Eagles have steadied the ship after a rocky start and the Giants have not. Calls for Jim Fassel's job won't help either.

Mills pick: Eagles 19, Giants 17

Jets (3-6) at Colts (7-2)

Tony Dungy vs Herman Edwards. Good friends stop being good friends the minute the whistle blows. Dungy prevails.

Mills pick: Colts 29, Jets 27

Chargers (2-7) at Broncos (5-4)

Jake Plummer is back and the Broncos offense is alive again. The Chargers will be inspired by the win last week, but not enough.

Mills pick: Broncos 33, Chargers 20

Lions (3-6) at Seahawks (6-3)

Seattle is unbeaten at home (5-0) and the Lions aren't good enough to buck that trend.

Mills pick: Seahawks 35, Lions 17

Vikings (6-3) at Raiders (2-7)

Things are so bad in Oakland that even the Vikings defenders are resting easy. Sorry Raider Nation, look to next year.

Mills pick: Vikings 28, Raiders 14

Cowboys (7-2) at Patriots (7-2)

Yet another installment of the Tuna Tour. Parcells has beat the Jets and the Giants but Bill Belichick won't let him do it to the Patriots.

Mills pick: Patriots 22, Cowboys 17
