BEARS: The team was scoreless in the first quarter against St. Louis. It has nine points in the first quarter all season.

CARDINALS: Linebacker Ray Thompson sprained his neck trying to make a tackle in the third quarter against Cleveland. X-rays showed no major damage.

EAGLES: The team wore black jerseys for the first time in franchise history. ... Safety Brian Dawkins returned for the first time since injuring his foot in the opener.

FALCONS: Peerless Price extended his streak to 60 games with at least one reception.

GIANTS: Defensive end Kenny Holmes (knee) and cornerback Ralph Brown (shoulder) sat out Sunday. Receiver Ike Hilliard (knee, ankle) didn't start, but came in after his replacement, Tim Carter, left with a concussion.

LIONS: Scotty Anderson, the team's leading receiver, was placed on injured reserve after a high ankle sprain in Sunday's loss in Seattle.

PACKERS: They beat the reigning Super Bowl champion for the third straight season. ... Brett Favre needs two TD passes to tie Dan Marino's record of 10 consecutive seasons with at least 20.

PANTHERS: Mushin Muhammad had nine catches for a season-high 189 yards. ... Kicker John Kasay went 2-for-4, missing for the first time after 22 consecutive field goals.

RAMS: Defensive end Leonard Little likely will miss his fourth straight game with a torn chest muscle. The team is being very careful with its best pass rusher, who has seven sacks, because coach Mike Martz said if he re-injures the chest he'll miss the rest of the season. Former Buc Tyoka Jackson has started in place of Little. Defensive tackle Damione Lewis also likely will miss his fourth straight game with a high ankle sprain.

REDSKINS: A poor offensive showing has coach Steve Spurrier reconsidering his decision to hand over the play-calling to coordinator Hue Jackson. The team gained 181 yards, 41 in the first half, in Sunday's loss at Carolina. Spurrier did not fault Jackson but hinted he might again take over the role. "I just need to be more involved. I feel sort of foolish down there with not much to do," he said.

SAINTS: Sunday's game against Atlanta was the 27th consecutive sellout at the 72,000 seat Superdome.

SEAHAWKS: Hall of Fame receiver Steve Largent, who played in Seattle from 1976-89, raised the "12th Man" flag before kickoff. ... Receiver Darrell Jackson, whose 12 dropped passes have been widely publicized, had four receptions for 56 yards without a drop.

VIKINGS: Defensive tackle Kevin Williams was arrested on a drunken driving charge, Edina, Minn., police said. He was arrested about midnight Thursday.
