Man, 27, killed in single-car accident

PLANT CITY - A 27-year-old man was killed Tuesday when the car he was driving went out of control and hit a power pole, authorities said.

According to Plant City police, Oracio Jimenez-Mandujano was driving a 1997 Hyundai east on Sammonds Road just west of Woodrow Wilson Street when, for unknown reasons, the car slid off the road and hit the pole.

Jimenez-Mandujano was flown to a hospital, where he died.
