Holiday boat parades

- Boca Ciega Yacht Club: 18th annual Christmas Boat Parade - Saturday Dec. 6. Begins at 5 p.m. at the Boca Ciega Yacht Club, 4600 Tifton Drive S. The parade is scheduled to arrive at Gulfport Municipal Marina at 5:45 p.m.; Broadwater subdivision at 6:30 p.m.; Maximo Marina at 7:15 p.m.; Gulfport Pier at 7:45 p.m.; Town Shores Condominiums at 8 p.m.; Pasadena Yacht and Country Club at 8:30 p.m.; and returns to the Boca Ciega Yacht Club. - St. Pete Beach: Holiday Boat Parade - Saturday Dec. 6. Begins at 6 p.m. at Merry Pier, Eighth Avenue and Pass-a-Grille Way, and travels north through Pass-a-Grille Channel and Boca Ciega Bay to St. Pete Beach Yacht and Tennis Club, 94th Avenue and Blind Pass Road. Call 363-9244 for information.

- St. Petersburg: Annual Lighted Boat Parade - Saturday Dec. 6. Begins at 6:45 p.m. at Bayboro Harbor and travels north with prime viewing locations at the Pier and along the Vinoy Basin in downtown St. Petersburg. The parade will coincide with holiday festivities starting at 6 p.m. at the Pier and Straub Park. Call 821-6443 for information.

- Treasure Island: 18th annual Lighted Boat Parade - Sunday Dec. 7. Celebration begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club and will include food and a visit from Santa. The parade leaves the yacht club basin at 6:20 p.m., passes through the Treasure Island toll bridge at 7 p.m. and proceeds north to John's Pass. Bring a new toy for the Christmas Toy Workshop to the Treasure Island City Hall by Dec. 5 or to the yacht club to receive a family pass to attend the events at the yacht club and for a good view of the parade. - South Pasadena: Holiday Boat Parade - Tuesday Dec. 9. Begins at 6 p.m. at Great American Marine, 6810 Gulfport Blvd. The parade route includes Pasadena Isle, Habitat Extension Park, Harbourside, Bay Island, Causeway Village, and ends back at Great American Marine. Rain date is Dec. 17. Call 347-4171 for information.

- Tierra Verde: Lighted Boat Parade - Wednesday Dec. 10. Begins at sundown at Billy's Stone Crab on Pass-a-Grille Harbor. The parade will go north, passing through the Tierra Verde bridge, and then south along the east side of Tierra Verde. It returns the same way, passing through the bridge and continuing to Shell Island. The parade ends at Billy's Stone Crab, 1120 Pinellas Bayway. For information, call Billy Moore at 542-3900.

- Indian Rocks Beach: 17th annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade - Friday Dec. 12. Begins at 7 p.m. at Holiday Inn Harbourside, 401 Second St. The parade will head north under the Indian Rocks Bridge and finish at the north end of the city limits off Harbor Drive N. - Madeira Beach: 37th annual Holiday Illuminated Boat Parade - Saturday Dec. 13. Begins at 6:30 p.m. behind City Hall, 300 Municipal Drive. The parade will wind south through the area's neighborhoods. It is scheduled to pass by Bicentennial Park at 6:45 p.m., Bay Point Drive at 7:15 p.m. and 137th Avenue Circle at 8 p.m., and to arrive at John's Pass at 8:45 p.m. Call 391-9951 for information.

- Indian Shores and Redington Beaches: Christmas Boat Parade - Sunday Dec. 21. Begins at 6 p.m. at the north side of Madeira Beach Bridge. The parade will head north on the Intracoastal Waterway, winding through the three Redingtons and Indian Shores. Public viewing areas are Del Bello Park, 17925 Gulf Blvd., the Pinellas County Boat Launch at Park Boulevard and Estelle Harper Park behind the Indian Shores Town Hall.
