A 20-year-old New Port Richey man and an 18-year-old Spring Hill man have been arrested, accused of sexual battery in two separate cases.

In one incident, which occurred Saturday morning in New Port Richey, a woman was sleeping in her bedroom when a man entered her home. He got on top of her and started kissing her on the neck, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

The man covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming, but the woman bit his arm to get him off of her, the report said.

She got to the door of her bedroom and turned on the light, but the man caught up to her and began hitting her. As she ran from him, he grabbed her hair to stop her, the report said.

She made it to the kitchen and dialed 911, but he grabbed the phone and threw it down. As she screamed, he threatened to kill her and started choking her, the report said.

She bit the man in the face to stop him from choking her. Then he hit her in the back with a frying pan. When she fell to the floor, the man got on top of her and sexually battered her, the report said.

She then hit him in the head with a coffee mug. Finally, the man left her house, saying he was sorry, the report said.

Deputies who responded to the 911 call soon caught up with a suspect in the incident.

Angel L. Lomena, 20, of 4821 Euclid Ave., was arrested at 5:22 a.m., about an hour after the incident, and was being held in the county jail on $250,000 bail. He faces charges of sexual battery, burglary, aggravated battery, false imprisonment and tampering with a witness.

The report did not give the name of the victim nor indicate whether she knew the suspect.

In a different case, a Hudson High School senior was arrested Friday afternoon, accused of sexually battering a 12-year girl.

The victim, who was not identified, told authorities the man made her perform sexual acts on two separate occasions in October and November. Both times she told him no, the Sheriff's Office reported.

Michael Patrick Paugh, 18, of 17535 Nicks Drive, was being held Saturday in the county jail on $200,000 bail. Authorities said he admitted to the sexual acts and to knowing the victim was only 12 years old.
