NFL Picks
By ROGER MILLS
Published November 23, 2003
Panthers (8-2) at Cowboys (7-3)
The Panthers are for real. The Cowboys will be real, soon. But maybe not yet.
Mills pick: Panthers 24, Cowboys 21
Colts (8-2) at Bills (4-6)
Peyton Manning is having and MVP season but can he do it without Marvin Harrison? The Bills defense gives no reason to believe he can't.
Mills pick: Colts 27, Bills 12
Seahawks (7-3) at Ravens (5-5)
The Ravens may be a .500 team in the standings but they're really a little better than that and will show it in a close one.
Mills pick: Ravens 17, Seahawks 15
Patriots (8-2) at Texans (4-5)
Perfect place for an upset. After all, who's going to pick the Texans to beat the Patriots? You? Not me!
Mills pick: Patriots 15, Texans 10
Jaguars (2-8) at Jets (3-7)
Both teams are coming off tough losses, but you have give the Jets the nod considering their offensive explosion against the Colts last week.
Mills pick: Jets 22, Jaguars 15
49ers (5-5) at Packers (5-5)
Thanks to the Bucs and the Vikings, the Packers are back in the division hunt and this time homefield will be an advantage.
Mills pick: Packers 21, 49ers 20
Lions (3-7) at Vikings (6-4)
The Lions cannot win on the road and the Vikings desperately need a win to stay on top of the NFC North division.
Mills pick: Vikings 34, Lions 21
Steelers (3-7) at Browns (4-6)
The Steelers weren't happy to have to travel to the West Coast and then play in Cleveland. Too bad. Now they have an excuse for the loss.
Mills pick: Browns 20, Steelers 13
Saints (5-) at Eagles (7-3)
Look out NFC, the Eagles are soaring again with great efficiency in the passing game and running game. Slim chance for the Saints.
Mills pick: Eagles 27, Saints 19
Rams (7-3) at Cardinals (3-7)
Marc Bulger isn't at his best but even if the Rams have to go to Kurt Warner, the Cardinals will have no answer.
Mills pick: Rams 24, Cardinals 10
Bears (3-7) at Broncos (6-4)
Jake Plummer is back and the Broncos offense is clearly far more volatile with him in there. Da Bears face Dafeat.
Mills pick: Broncos 34, Bears 17
Titans (8-2) at Falcons (2-8)
The Falcons have been much better recently but with no Michael Vick they have little chance against one of the top three teams in the NFL.
Mills pick: Titans 33, Falcons 21
Raiders (3-7) at Chiefs (9-1)
This is as close as you'll get to an absolute lock in the NFL. Like the Texans against the Dolphins in the season opener, right?
Mills pick: Chiefs 21, Raider 17
Bengals (5-5) at Chargers (2-8)
One more win and Marvin Lewis has tripled the number of wins his team had last year. Impressive. Chargers help it happen.
Mills pick: Bengals 19, Chargers 18
Redskins (4-6) at Dolphins (6-4)
Heart breaking loss to the Panthers last week may be too much to overcome against a Dolphins team with renewed momentum.
Mills pick: Dolphins 14, Redskins 10
