C-USA: Cards roll up win, yards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Lionel Gates rushed for a career-high 140 yards and four touchdowns and Louisville amassed a school record 779 yards in a 66-45 win over Houston on Saturday.

Freshman Michael Bush ran for a career-high 137 yards and two TDs and Stefan LeFors threw for 334 yards as the Cardinals topped the 769 yards gained in a 63-45 win over East Carolina in 1998. The total was 3 yards shy of the conference record set by TCU in a 62-55 win over Houston on Oct.25.

The Cardinals had 420 yards at halftime. They reached 40 points a fourth time this season on a 38-yard TD from LeFors to J.R. Russell three minutes into the third.

MEMPHIS 21, CINCINNATI 16: Darron White ran for one touchdown and threw for another as the host Tigers used a late defensive stand to win. It was Memphis' fifth straight victory and marked the first time the Tigers have won eight games in a season since 1973. They host USF on Saturday.

Wesley Smith's interception and return to the Bearcat 9 set up the go-ahead touchdown run by White with 5:57 remaining. The defense stopped the Bearcats on the ensuing series that took Cincinnati to the Memphis 30.

TULANE 28, ECU 18: J.P. Losman finished his college career with a four-touchdown, 227-yard passing performance as he led the host Green Wave. Losman, a top NFL prospect, finished the season with 3,077 yards and 33 touchdowns, leading the conference in both.
