Inverness man faces charges of illegally killing alligator

OCALA - Authorities this week arrested an Inverness man on charges of illegally killing, possessing or capturing an alligator. According to court records, Kenneth H. Little, 32, of 565 S Tuck Point, faces one felony count and three counts of a second-degree misdemeanor. His case remains pending in circuit court in Ocala. The arrest was part of an ongoing investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Nine other people, all Marion County residents, also were charged with wildlife poaching of deer and alligators in Marion and Lake counties, a commission news release said. Handling the investigation, which has spanned more than a year, are Officer Washburn Wear and Lt. Gregg Eason, who cover Marion County and the Ocala National Forest. Little could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
