Head to Hudson for 'A New York Christmas'

The Show Palace Dinner Theatre is trying something new this holiday season.

HUDSON - Last year's holiday show at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre had a definite gospel/rock feel to it.

This year, it's a mix of sophistication and tradition.

It even has a brand new name: "A New York Christmas."

Conceived and staged by Show Palace artistic director John Leggio, it features Mother (Katie Kerwin, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun), Father (Robert St. Germain), Grandma (Vicki Dailey) and Grandpa (Joe Camper), with sets described as "a warm family home and those wonderful Christmas places in New York City."

One of those places has a striking resemblance to Radio City Music Hall, where a line of high-kicking dancers will bring to mind the famous Rockettes.

The show also features the Grinch (Matthew McGee) and a jolly old Santa.

There also is a passel of children - 10, to be exact - and a line of singer/dancers that includes Show Palace veterans Sara DelBeato, Joel Kipper, Troy LaFon, Julia Reardon and Lisa Olmo.

The show has a cast of 37.
