Art show

More than 150 artists from around the country will be in downtown Tarpon Springs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for the Festival of Arts. There will be live entertainment and a food fest. For information, call the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce at 937-6109.

Fantasea of Lights

Starting today, celebrate the holidays Florida style with an illuminated light spectacular, snow play days, on-going seasonal films such as It's a Wonderful Life, caroling, artists, street performers and live music two hours before and two hours after sunset daily at the Pier 60 Pavilion on Clearwater Beach. Build a "snow castle" in the midst of 10 tons of "snow" the Snow Zone is open from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 20. The program ends Jan. 2. Admission is free. MUSICAL: See Miss Saigon through Sunday at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen-Booth Road, Clearwater. Shows are at 8 p.m. through Saturday, plus 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. $37-$65.

LET THE HOLIDAYS BEGIN: Start your holiday season at the lighting of the Holiday Tree and street lights along Cleveland Street in Clearwater. Events begin at 6:30 p.m. today at Station Square Park. Santa will guide you to the Royalty Theatre to hear area choirs and children's groups perform seasonal selections.

HOLIDAY BREAKFAST: The Leading Ladies of PAC Foundation is sponsoring a "Breakfast with Santa" from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. There will be a buffet, crafts with Santa's elves, a keepsake photo with Santa and more. Tickets are $12.50 per child and $10 for adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

PHOTOGRAPHY: The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art presents a show called "In the Moment: Photography by Herb Snitzer" through Jan. 11. A documentary and fine art photographer for 45 years, Snitzer has taken pictures, working for Life, Time, Fortune and Look magazines, the Saturday Evening Post and the New York Times among others. He also wrote a book about jazz. The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is located just west of U.S. Highway 19 at 600 Klosterman Road on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, evening hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Thursdays; Sunday hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for children and students with ID. Sunday admission is free for everybody. Docent-led tours are offered at 2 p.m. Saturdays. Call 712-5226.

HOLIDAY SHOW: Wheel-thrown pottery, cast paper, oils, acrylics, calligraphy and more will be displayed at the Painted Fish Gallery's "Merry Fishmas" show through Dec. 31. The gallery is at 350 Main St., downtown Dunedin. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (the store is open until 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings in December). For information, call 734-5060.
