RECAP: The Jaguars had two deep drives to start but didn't score on either. The first stalled at the Bucs 24, when Byron Leftwich's fourth-and-2 pass for Jimmy Smith fell incomplete. The second got to the Bucs 15, but on third and 7, Leftwich was called for intentional grounding, pushing the ball to the 28. From there, Seth Marler's 46-yard field goal drifted wide left. Despite the Jaguars dominating the Bucs in total yards (97-3), the quarter ended scoreless.

KEY PLAY: Put in a hole after another penalty, Brad Johnson's pass intended for Charles Lee was intercepted by linebacker Mike Peterson late, completing a performance that included 10 yards rushing, minus-7 yards passing, a sack, turnover and zero first downs.

KEY STATS: Rushing - Bucs 10, Jaguars 15; Passing - Bucs minus-7, Jaguars 82; Total offense - Bucs 3, Jaguars 97; Sacks - Bucs 0, Jaguars 1; Turnovers - Bucs 1, Jaguars 0; Time of possession - Bucs 3:18, Jaguars 11:42.

Brad Johnson slipped on his first play and was sacked for a 7-yard loss. ... David Allen's first punt return for the Jaguars went for 28 yards to the Bucs 47. ...
