BENGALS: The team plays at Baltimore in a battle for first in the North. A victory gives the Bengals the equivalent of a two-game lead with three to go - their head-to-head sweep would make them division champions if they finish with the same record as the Ravens.
BILLS: Drew Bledsoe's status is uncertain, although the quarterback is not experiencing any serious effects from a helmet-to-helmet hit.
BROWNS: QB Tim Couch has a sprained knee ligament but the injury isn't as bad as originally feared. "I think I got pretty lucky after watching the replay," Couch said.
CHARGERS: After watching Doug Flutie deliver one win in four starts, coach Marty Schottenheimer is back to playing mind games with his opponent on whether Flutie or Drew Brees will start. This weekend, he's going up against his brother, Kurt, the defensive coordinator of the Lions. "We're going to sit down over the next few days and talk about (who is going to start)," Schottenheimer said. "I might say that we won't make a decision until later in the week because I'd like my brother to prepare for both of them."
COLTS: TE Dallas Clark has a fractured fibula and ligament damage. He is scheduled for surgery today and might miss the rest of the season. "We played more three-receiver sets when we didn't have all our tight ends before and we'll probably do that now," coach Tony Dungy said. "Most teams go through that at some point."
DOLPHINS: CB Jamar Fletcher will miss the rest of the season after breaking his left forearm against Dallas.
PATRIOTS: With an eight-game winning streak that gave it a 10-2 record and a chance to clinch the East, the team established itself as one of the best in the NFL. Just don't call it dominant. "I think that's a joke," coach Bill Belichick said after a reporter used the D word to describe a team that has gone to the wire in four of its past six games. "The ball's inside the 1 on the last play? Who's dominating whom?"
RAIDERS: Bill Callahan tried to massage his message after the coach called his club the "dumbest team in America." "I totally respect our players and always have," he said a day after a loss to the Broncos. "My problem is not with our players, it's the way we play."
STEELERS: Jerome Bettis' 62 yards gave him 12,010 in his career, making him the 10th NFL running back with that many yards.
TEXANS: David Carr intends to start Sunday, a week after the quarterback was suddenly called on to rally the team, sprained right shoulder and all. "If we can get my shoulder back to where it is at least 90 percent, then I can go out and help this team win," Carr said. Tony Banks broke his right hand Sunday and is out for the season. Rookie Dave Ragone, who has not played a game, slides into the No. 2 slot.
