Drive-by shooting suspects at large

By Times Staff Writer
Published December 5, 2003

The Pasco County sheriff's deputies was searching Thursday evening for four men in a white Chevrolet following a drive-by shooting outside of Dade City that led to a high-speed chase.

Someone from the car shot at a man on Oak Street around 5:15 p.m., said Kevin Doll, sheriff's spokesman. A bullet grazed the man's leg and he refused medical treatment, Doll said. The car sped off, leading deputies on a chase on County Road 54. The car headed toward Polk County but then turned around and headed back toward Zephyrhills, Doll said. Once the car reached speeds of 100 mph, running other motorists off the road, the deputies called off the chase.
