LARGO - A divorced husband stabbed his ex-wife three times Sunday morning, as they sat in her kitchen having coffee, police said. Odell Carl Parker, 58, stabbed his ex-wife twice in the chest and once elsewhere, police said.

Liela Lee Pasionek, 45, was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg and is expected to live, said Largo police Lt. Michelle Smith. Parker, of 1399 S Belcher Road, fled but was arrested Sunday evening and charged early Monday with attempted murder. He was held at Largo Medical Center Monday afternoon and treated for a possible drug overdose.

Parker is accused of attacking Pasionek at about 10:25 a.m. in the kitchen of her 7349 Ulmerton Road mobile home. After the first two stabs, which were to her chest, Pasionek ran to a neighbor's home, police said. Parker chased her there and stabbed her again, then he walked to his van and drove away, police said.

A Pinellas County sheriff's deputy found him Sunday evening, Smith said. He was passed out inside the van and appeared to have overdosed. He was treated at Largo Medical Center.

Pasionek and Parker were married for 15 months before divorcing in 2000. The couple had a history of domestic violence, including harassing phone calls and stalking, authorities said.
