HYDE PARK NORTH - Portions of Bayshore Boulevard will be closed at night for another week or so while a stormwater pipe is installed for the Parkside at One Bayshore condo project.

One lane in each direction, between Platt and Verne streets, will close from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The closures began Tuesday and are expected to continue through Dec. 23. For more information, call Ed Duncan, the city traffic coordinator, at 274-8055.

Upscale dog houses are an artful charity benefit

HYDE PARK - Twenty high-end dog houses, an art form dubbed BowWow Haus, go on display in Old Hyde Park Village beginning Saturday.

The touring designs from local architects are ultimately expected to raise money for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and the Outdoor Arts Foundation.

Seventeen dog houses have been on display at Reeves Import Motorcars in Tampa since October. Dog houses will be unveiled in January at Tampa International Airport, WestShore Plaza and Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall.
