Ex-deputy accused of lying, forgery

TAMPA - A former Hillsborough Sheriff's deputy was arrested Wednesday, accused of lying and forging her ex-husband's signature on applications for rental property.

Sherry Hart, who has been a deputy since December 1996, resigned on Oct. 23 of this year.

She is accused of lying on a rental application to Sun Cove Realty by listing her ex-husband as her current husband and providing his income and credit information and a copy of his driver's license without his permission.

She also forged his signature on the documents, reports state.
