ORGANIZATIONS
Dan Mahurin received the Chairman's Award from the Tampa Chamber of Commerce for his leadership and support of the chamber's New Cornerstone project. The project is an economic development plan for the state of Florida. Mahurin is chairman, president and chief executive of SunTrust Bank, Tampa Bay.
The Pinellas County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program has elected its advisory council officers for 2004-05: Robert E. Wharrie, president; Norm Bungard, vice president; and Lynette Buchanan, secretary.
