ARCHITECTURE

Lee Turberville has been named architect and project manager for Bessolo Design Group Inc., St. Petersburg. Turberville was a project architect for Artech Design Group, Chattanooga, Tenn.

CONSTRUCTION

Theresa Lynn Collins has been promoted to assistant division president for M/I Homes, Tampa. Collins was vice president of sales and marketing.

ENGINEERING

Robert M. Frey has been named a project manager in the planning services department for TEI Engineers and Planners, Tampa. Frey was a research assistant at the Center for Urban Transportation Research, Tampa.

HOSPITALITY

Scot Hall has been promoted to food and beverage director for Sirata Beach Resort & Conference Center, St. Pete Beach. Hall was executive chef.

LEGAL

Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa, announced the following new shareholders: Hunter Brownlee, Linda Carbone, David Gemunder, Mitchell Golden, Jim Matulis, Elaine Rice, John Russell and Jack Weiss. Brownlee is in the tax practice group, Tampa; Carbone is in the trust and estate practice group, Tampa; Gemunder is in the corporate, securities and finance practice group, Tampa; Matulis is in the products liability practice group, Tampa; Rice is in the securities, financial services and white collar practice group, Tampa; Russell is in the insurance coverage practice group; and Golden and Weiss are in the worker's compensation practice group, St. Petersburg. All were associates.

Leonard L. Kleinman has been appointed to the board of trustees of the United Jewish Communities. Kleinman is "of counsel" for the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, Tampa.

MEDIA

Wendy Diamond has been named director of the advertising care center for Cox Target Media, Largo. Diamond was a senior marketing database consultant for New York Life Insurance Co., Tampa.

ORGANIZATIONS

Dan Mahurin received the Chairman's Award from the Tampa Chamber of Commerce for his leadership and support of the chamber's New Cornerstone project. The project is an economic development plan for the state of Florida. Mahurin is chairman, president and chief executive of SunTrust Bank, Tampa Bay.

The Pinellas County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program has elected its advisory council officers for 2004-05: Robert E. Wharrie, president; Norm Bungard, vice president; and Lynette Buchanan, secretary. Wharrie is a lawyer with Wharrie and Albers PA, St. Petersburg; Bungard, a St. Petersburg resident, is a retired social security administration manager and active volunteer; and Buchanan is supervisor of the Enoch D. Davis Center, St. Petersburg.

THEATER

Carly Baytos has been named group sales manager for American Stage, St. Petersburg. Baytos was an intern with Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau, Atlanta.
