Miami RB plans to play through pain

DAVIE - Ricky Williams expects no problems from his injured shoulder when the Dolphins travel to Buffalo Sunday.

Williams is listed as probable after injuring his shoulder on a 45-yard run in the Dolphins' 34-27 loss to Philadelphia on Monday night. The running back practiced all week and said he might use medication to help ease the pain.

"It's a little sore, but it's been sore most of the season," Williams said Friday. "I've had a sore shoulder for the last three years, so it's nothing new."

Ex-Viking Brown charged

MILACA, Minn. - Former Vikings running back Ted Brown was charged after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her at a team fundraiser in February. Brown, who was charged with criminal sexual conduct, didn't speak as he left the courtroom. He was booked at Mille Lacs County jail and posted bail.

Prosecutors said Brown's indictment would be the only one from the 10-month investigation that included nearly 100 interviews and grand jury testimony by Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper, running back Moe Williams and executive vice president Mike Kelly. Brown, 46, played for the Vikings 1979-86 and is their fourth-leading rusher.

BENGALS: Receiver and punt returner Peter Warrick was ruled out of Sunday's game at St. Louis after arthroscopic surgery to have torn cartilage in his right knee repaired. Rookie third-round draft pick Kelley Washington likely will start, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh could play for the first time this season. He would be in the slot when Cincinnati goes to its three wide-receiver package.

BRONCOS: Running back Clinton Portis remained questionable for Sunday's game at Indianapolis after skipping most of practice. Portis, who injured his right leg last weekend in the closing seconds of a 23-20 win against the Browns, ran gingerly and caught a few passes during warmups but did not take part in the remainder of the workout.

BROWNS: Former USF star Anthony Henry will miss the remaining two games after knee surgery, becoming the 13th player with a season-ending injury. The cornerback has had a sore knee for more than a month.

JAGUARS: The team placed cornerback Jason Craft on injured reserve because of a knee sprain.

RAIDERS: Left guard Frank Middleton, formerly of the Bucs, was placed on injured reserve because of a quadriceps tear, becoming the 12th player lost for the season and second offensive lineman this week.

RAMS: Defensive end Grant Wistrom was fined $5,000 by the league for a late hit on Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
