CHICAGO - Khara Smith scored 24 and Charlene Smith added 20 as No. 22 DePaul raced to a 101-63 victory Tuesday over Loyola of Chicago.
Ashley Luke added 13 and Jenni Dant 10 for the Blue Demons, who entered as the No. 2 scoring team in the nation at 93.1 per game.
Meskhenet Lands had 18 and Emily Ponder 10 for Loyola, which shot 37 percent. The Ramblers trailed 56-23 at the half.
The Blue Demons, ranked for the first time this season, hold a 27-9 advantage in this rivalry.
Late Monday
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Sophia Young scored 24, including 18 in the second half, to lead Baylor to a 79-63 win over North Carolina State in the championship game of the San Juan Shootout. Young also had three assists and two blocks.
N.C. State got within five with five minutes left before Baylor hit several late free throws to put it out of reach.
The Bears outscored the Wolfpack 16-6 late to take a 35-25 halftime lead.
Dionne Brown added 12 points and Ebony Jackson 11 for Baylor. Brown also had 10 rebounds. Kaayla Chones had 15 rebounds for N.C. State.
