IMMOKALEE - Four people, including a child, were killed and one person was injured in a head-on collision in northern Collier County, officials said on Sunday.
Marco Jose Orozco, 28, of Immokalee, and his passenger, Arreloa Rivero Maria-Estrella, 20, were killed when their 1996 Dodge collided Saturday with a 1988 Ford driven by Gregorio Ramires, 29, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Orozco and Maria-Estrella died at the scene, troopers said. Ramires died early Sunday.
The child who died was a passenger in Ramires' vehicle. The child's identity was withheld pending notification of family members.
A second passenger in the Ford, Luis Hernandez, 33, was severely injured.
Everyone but Orozco was wearing a seat belt.
Immokalee fire and rescue officials, who responded to the scene, said they wouldn't release information until today.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash, the highway patrol said in a report.
