Military news

Army Sgt. Christopher Travis Seal, son of Barbara Estes of St. Petersburg, recently was promoted to his current rank. He is serving with the 272nd Military Police Company, stationed in Mannheim, Germany. He is a 2000 graduate of Pinellas Park High School.

Navy Lt. Cmdr. Kelvin L. Reed, son of Mary Reed of St. Petersburg, recently was promoted to his current rank. He is in naval aviation, currently stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, where for the past 15 months he has been serving as a catapult and arresting gear officer aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. He is a 1987 graduate of St. Petersburg High School, a 1990 graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College and a 1993 graduate of the University of South Florida.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Timothy K. Gosney, son of Loretta Gosney of St. Petersburg and Timothy Gosney of Clearwater, has returned from a six-month deployment in the Caribbean Sea, the eastern Pacific and the southern Atlantic aboard the USS Stump, home port Norfolk, Va.

Marine Pfc. Mitchell P. Milillo Jr., son of Mitchell Milillo Sr. of St. Petersburg, has reported for duty with the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He is a 2003 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.
