MIAMI - Retired former Packers general manager Ron Wolf declined Tuesday to be considered for a job with the Dolphins.
The Dolphins will interview Tampa Bay interim GM Tim Ruskell and Buffalo assistant GM Tom Modrak, team president Eddie Jones said, and plan to schedule an interview with former Saints GM Randy Mueller. Miami's personnel chief, Rick Spielman, also is a candidate.
Miami was told by the league it can't approach Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli until they are out of the playoffs, which likely eliminates him. Miami hopes to hire a GM by the end of next week.
The Dolphins stripped coach Dave Wannstedt of his authority over personnel Monday.
