BAKER, EDWIN CLINTON SR., 62, of Beverly Hills, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) in Beverly Hills. Born in Philadelphia, he came here from Titusville and was a truck driver. Survivors include two sons, Edwin C. Baker Jr. and Harry N., and two daughters, Donna J. Holloway and Michelle C. Mancill, all of Titusville; two sisters, Mary V. Baker, Hobe Sound, and Marilyn J. BUDDENBOHM-COTTON, DOROTHY, 80, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (Dec. 26, 2002) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville. Born in Palatine Bridge, N.Y., she came here 19 years ago from Clarendon Hills, Ill. She was a homemaker and a member of Timber Pines Golf Club. She was Methodist. SMITH, CHRISTINE WATSON, 89, of Homosassa, formerly of Tampa, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) in Crystal River. Born in Fort Meade, she came here in 1994 from Tampa and was a homemaker. She was Baptist. Survivors include his son, John M. Smith Jr., Homosassa; a daughter, Betty Jean Smith, St. Marks; a sister, Ruth Cockern, Daytona Beach; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. STUCHLAK, HELEN, 82, of Beverly Hills, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) in Beverly Hills. Born in Jessup, Pa., she came here in 1982 from Bridgeport, Conn. She was the supervisor "Lead Lady" for Bridgeport Metal Goods with 20 years of service. She was Eastern Orthodox. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Andrew; a son, Wesley, Springfield, Pa.; a daughter, Andrea Stuchlak, Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Mary Dermora and Anna Kalinich, both of Stratford, Conn.; and a grandson. BURKART, FRANCIS PAUL, 78, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) at home. Born in Astoria, N.Y., he came here four years ago from New York City. He was an iron worker and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus and Eagles in Hudson. Survivors include two sons, Steve F. and Edward, and a daughter, JoAnn Fulgenzi, all of Spring Hill; two stepsons, Michael Scherbner, Bayville, N.Y., and Paul Scherbner, Astoria, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. GILDING, VICTOR CRAVEN SR., 68, of Brooksville, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003) at home. Born in Portland, Maine, he came here 18 months ago from St. Johnsbury, Vt. GREENAFAGE, ANDREW R., 85, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday (Jan. 8, 2003) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville. Born in Queens Village, N.Y., he came here 15 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of International Operating Engineers Union 138. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, and member of American Legion, Brooksville and Long Island. He was Catholic. KEENE, NELLIE JEAN, 63, of Lake Panasoffkee, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) in Leesburg. Born in Troy, Ga., she was a homemaker and a member of Wellswood Baptist Church. PRADO, DIONIGI "DANNY," 88, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) in Brooksville. Born in Agrigento, Italy, he came here in 1983 from Hartford, Conn. He was the retired owner of Danny's Driving School and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He was president of the Santa Lucia Society and was a member of the Brooksville Elks. Survivors include his wife, Christine; a son, Louis, and a daughter, Josephine Dziarkowski, both of Connecticut; a brother, Anselmo, and a sister, Yolanda Galatioto, both of Italy; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. RAGLAND, JOSEPHINE G., 83, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Onancock, Va., she came here 30 years ago from Baltimore. She was a secretary to the headmaster of Homewood School, Baltimore. She was a volunteer at the Springstead High School library and Oak Hill Hospital. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and active in its ministries. Survivors include her son, Stuart, Tallahassee; two daughters, JoAnn R. ALLHISER, MARIE B., 82, of Tampa, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003). She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and the Atlantic Coastline Retirees Club. She was formerly a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, St. Theresa's Guild, the Altar Guild and Daughters of the King. CERRA, SOLEDAD GARCIA, 94, of Tampa, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003). Born in Argentina, she was a lifelong resident of Tampa. She was a cigar maker at Gradiaz Cigar Factory, and was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star. WING, ROCKMA CHARLES JR. "ROCKY," 68, of Temple Terrace, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003). Born in Dexter, Maine, he moved to the Tampa area in 1977. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a supervisor and chief operator at the Howard F. Currens Wastewater and Water Treatment Facility for the city of Tampa for 25 years. BUTLER, JOE LEE JR., 71, of Holiday, died Friday (Jan. 3, 2003) at Tandem Health Care of Safety Harbor. Born in Stuttgart, Ark., he came here in 1979 from Colorado. He was an Air Force veteran serving 20 years and achieved the rank of master sergeant. He served the first 17 years as a B-36 and B-52 gunner, then as a computer programmer/analyst. He served in the Korean War. He later worked for the state of Colorado as a computer programmer and taught at the Abilities Rehabilitation Center of Florida. He was Methodist. CLOUTIER, YVON J., 89, of Zephyrhills, died Friday (Jan. 3, 2003) in Zephyrhills. He came here in 1973 from his native Lewiston, Maine. He was a self-employed masonry contractor and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Claire B. Reaume; two daughters, Doris C. He was a house painter for the Seven Springs Villas and was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of the Yugoslav-American Social Club, Spring Hill, and of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. McNATT, WILLIAM EARL "BILL," 61, of Dade City, formerly of New Port Richey and Clearwater, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) at home. Born in Darby, he moved to New Port Richey from Clearwater, then moved to Dade City in 1990. He was the founder of MRW Lending, Clearwater, and was the current chief executive officer of Newco Financial Services, Dade City. He was involved in the FMHA and was president of the Insurance Divison of this organization. He was in the banking industry all his life. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Sunrise Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and St. Mary's Episcopal Church, all of Dade City. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; two daughters, Tara L. - SMITH, WAYNE I., 53, of Fallbrook, Calif., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003) of leukemia. Born in Camden, N.J., he moved to Fallbrook in 2000. He was coordinator of economic development and property management for the city of St. Petersburg for 29 years. He was a graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. He was a member of the Lycoming College Alumni Association and past president of Tau Kappa Epsilon. He enjoyed gardening, especially the growing of orchids and roses. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Barbara; his mother, Ruth D. Haynes, Closter, N.J.; and a brother, Mark D., Prospect, Ky. Allen Brothers Mortuary, Vista, Calif.
- SMITH, WILLIE JAMES, 68, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) at the Laurels Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He came here in 1956 from his native Greenville. He was a sanitation department supervisor for the city of St. Petersburg and a newspaper carrier for the St. Petersburg Times. He was treasurer and a trustee of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and a member of its usher board and male chorus and was secretary of the deacon board. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Maggie; a daughter, Gail Elaine Hines, St. Petersburg; his mother, Bessie Smith, Fort Lauderdale; three brothers, Clyde Smith and Clarence Smith, both of Fort Lauderdale, and John Smith, Virginia; four sisters, Nellie Mae Jones and Celia Williams, both of Opa-locka, Geneva Chambers, Carol City, and Bessie Goins, Orlando. - TURNER, BERTHA, 91, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) at home. Born in Jennings, she came here first in 1919 and later returned here from New York City. She worked in the food service department at 16th Street Middle School and retired in 1986. She was a member of Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ, where she served as a president of the missionary board and was a member of the Prayer Band. Survivors include two nieces, Evelyn Fair and Joe Francis Hawkins, both of St. Petersburg. Zion Hill Mortuary, St. Petersburg.
- TRULL, BOBBY JOE, 73, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. Born in Canton, N.C., he came here in 1976 from Dallas. He was an automotive technician for Western Auto in Tampa and St. Petersburg. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Pinellas Park. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Kim; three sons, David and Danny, both of Greenville, S.C., and Mike, St. Petersburg; four daughters, Lynn Hoxitt and Mary Jones, both of Pickens, S.C., and Katrina Trull and Sarah Trull, both of St. Petersburg; two brothers, Donald, Dallas, and Arnold, Asheville, N.C.; two sisters, Lucille Hicks and Opal Parks, both of Canton, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
