Raymond James sees bleak year
The black cloud hanging over the stock market continues to take its toll on Raymond James Financial Inc. The St. Petersburg financial services company said Wednesday that earnings fell 20 percent for the fiscal first quarter, which ended Dec. 27.

Markets decline as investors worry over Intel, DuPont
NEW YORK -- Mixed earnings news from Intel jolted Wall Street on Wednesday, sending stocks sharply lower as investors unloaded stocks on worries that corporate profits might not be so strong after all.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RAISES PRICES: Universal Orlando raised the cost of a daily admission ticket by $2 on Friday, to $51.95 plus tax for adults and $42.95 plus tax for children. The increase came after Busch Gardens in Tampa adopted the same prices last week. Tickets at Walt Disney World in Orlando remain at $50 plus tax for adults, a level the theme park adopted in September.
