WEST PALM BEACH -- The 4th District Court of Appeal ruled Wednesday that a law letting the state take any citrus tree within 1,900 feet of a canker infestation is constitutional, but crews must get warrants before searching private property for signs of the disease.

Sexual predator law ruled unconstitutional
MIAMI -- An appeals court Wednesday ruled that the Florida Sexual Predator Act, the state's version of Megan's Law, is unconstitutional because it lacks provisions to let judges determine defendants' actual threat to the community on an individual basis.
