CHORUS IN THE HILLS: The Chorus of Beverly Hills will begin rehearsals for its spring concert at the Beverly Hills Recreation Association at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Singers for all four voice parts are encouraged to join the group, directed by Lorraine Wilmoth and with Barbara Hill as accompanist. An exciting program featuring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein is planned.

LECANTO -- The Citrus County Health Department completed its weekly pollen count Thursday. The count, conducted in accordance with standards of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, showed tree pollens and fungus spores in the high range while grass pollens were in the low range.

Editor: I have been reading in the paper about the Sheriff Office's two deputies for the past two weeks. As unfortunate as those incidents were, I have seen how the press has hammered away at the negative side of law enforcement. Why is it that those are the stories the press think are the only stories worth printing?
