Yankeetown man killed after driving off road
HOMOSASSA -- A single-car wreck claimed the life of a Yankeetown man Sunday night. Donald Dunlap, 30, 6209 W Riverside Drive, died when his 1994 Ford sedan ran off the road and overturned. The wreck happened about 7:35 p.m. near 9618 W Yulee Drive, according to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol. Dunlap was driving east on Yulee, ran off the roadway and overturned on the south shoulder, according to the FHP report. A passenger in the car, Allen Strickland, 32, 7729 W Yulee Drive, Homosassa, was not injured. According to the FHP report, alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.
