  • HALLEY, VICTOR LEVI, 75, of Inglis, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at home. Born in Guyan Township, Ohio, he came here 22 years ago from Chillicothe, Ohio. He was owner and operator of Halley's Foodland from 1960 to 1977 and owned the Isaac Walton Lodge, Yankeetown, from 1978 to 1984. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and achieved the rank of master sergeant. He was a member of VFW Post 8698 and was Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Keith, New Paris, Ind., and Victor, Chillicothe; two brothers, Richard, Delaware, Ohio, and Jerry, Chillicothe; a sister, Melissa Woodland, Louisville; and two grandchildren.   • McKOWN, JERRY L., 74, of Homosassa, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003) at home. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, he came here two years ago from Georgia.   • BANNER, ELIZABETH M., 67, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) in Brooksville. Born in Pearson, Ga., she came here eight years ago from Atlanta and was a certified public accountant. She was Protestant. Survivors include a daughter, Teri C. Reeves, Brooksville; two sons, Sam Crews, Douglasville, Ga., and Andy Clement, Tucker, Ga.; a brother, Jesse Earl, Pearson, Ga.; two sisters, Pearl Tanner, Albany, Ga., and Eddie Yarbrough, New York; and five grandchildren.   • BROWNING, LORAINE McKINNEY, 84, of Brooksville, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Willow, Ky., she came here eight years ago from Plant City. She retired from teaching and supervising home economic programs in Louisville, Ky., and the Kentucky Public School System. She was honored in 1974 for excellence in teaching by Eastern Kentucky University and commissioned a Kentucky Colonel. She volunteered in the transportation office at Oak Hill Hospital. She was a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church, where she helped organize the Loving Hearts group.   • BURGER, MARJORIE E., 83, of Spring Hill, died Monday (Jan. 20, 2003) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Fenton, Mich., she came to Florida in 1975 from Grayling, Mich. She was a foundry worker for the Pontiac Motor Division.   • CAMPBELL, DONALD L. SR., 80, of Spring Hill, died Monday (Jan. 20, 2003) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. He came here 22 years ago from his native Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a retired electrical contractor and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Hernando Computer Club, Brookridge Breakfast Club and Men's Golf League, Timber Pines Men's Golf League, Masonic Lodge and Faith Presbyterian Church of Brooksville. He was a former deacon at Richmond Reformed Church and former president of the Lions Club. He was a volunteer firefighter and village commissioner.   • DELGADO ABRIL, JULIO, 77, of Spring Hill, died Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he came here 15 years ago from New Jersey. He was retired from the New Jersey Department of Corrections, an Army veteran and a member of the Puerto Rican American Club. He was Catholic. Born in Flushing, N.Y., he came here 11 years ago from Temple Terrace. He was the founder and owner of the Automotive Center and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.   • SENNER, GERMAINE M. "GERRI," 75, of Torrington, Conn., formerly of Spring Hill, died Monday (Jan. 20, 2003) in Torrington. She was born in Old Town, Maine. She moved to Connecticut a year ago from Spring Hill, where she had lived for 18 years. She was a retired expeditor for General Electric. She was a eucharistic minister, church greeter and a member of Parish Council at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.   • WILSON, STEPHEN PADRAIC "GUNNY," 53, of Spring Lake, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003) at home after a long battle with Huntington's disease. Born in Bethesda, Md., he moved to Brooksville in 1977. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He achieved the rank of sergeant and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat Valor. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in animal nutrition. He worked for the Brooksville Fire Department, NWHFD and Spring Hill Fire & Rescue District, retiring as a firefighter and paramedic lieutenant. He was a rescue scuba diver and was an instructor at Florida State Fire College. He raised and trained a search and rescue dog. He was a professional skydiver for 10 years. He was a member of the local and national Military Vehicle Preservation Association.   • HOCHBERG, REBECCA, 91, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at Menorah Manor. She moved to Tampa in 1970 from Chattanooga, Tenn.   • KING, JACK, 78, of Tampa, died Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003). Born in Memphis, Tenn., he moved to Tampa more than 50 years ago. He was a World War II veteran, receiving the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion, the 4th Marine Association, and the VFW. He was also a member of the Hillsborough Lodge Scottish Rite, Egypt Temple Shrine, Selama Grotto and Royal American Shrine Club. He was a member of DeMolay since 1939 and was the recipient of the Legion of Honor in 1964. He was a Florida west coast sales representative for Colgate-Palmolive Co., retiring after 35 years. He was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., and moved from Clearwater to Gainesville in 1990. During his working years, he was a unit supervisor at Union Carbide in West Virginia and then a sales representative for Sandpaper Inc. in Clearwater and Clearwater Tile. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church South at Haile Plantation. He enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Inez; two daughters, Marti Corbitt, Venice, Fla., and Beverly O'Connor, Key West; two brothers, Jack, South Charleston, W.Va., and Frank, Plymouth, N.C.; a sister, Mary Rogers, Richwood, W.Va; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.     • LEBEDZ, STELLA M., 90, of Clearwater, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. She was born in New York City and came here in 1973 from Manville, N.J. She was a seamstress and a Catholic. Survivors include a son, Ronald J., St. James, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.     • ROWAN, ROBERT G., 81, of Clearwater and Wilkes-Barre, Pa., died Monday (Jan. 13, 2003) at Hospice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Wilkes-Barre and had been a seasonal resident here. He owned Rowan Propane Gas Services, Wilkes-Barre. He was a pilot for U.S. Overseas Airlines and also a private pilot. He was a first lieutenant in the Army Air Forces in World War II and was recalled to duty during the Korean War. He was Methodist. He was a member of Gideons International and a speaker for Christian Women's Clubs and churches.     • WARD, MARY LOUISE, 77, of Seminole, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at Barrington Terrace, Largo. Born in Malden, Mass., she came here in 1980 from Bethesda, Md. She was a real estate saleswoman in Washington, D.C. She was a member of St. Justin the Martyr Catholic Church in Largo. Survivors include two daughters, Sara Dawson, Seminole, and Mary Ann Burrow, Richland, Wash.; three sisters, Ellen McDonald, Scituate, Mass., Sara Ivaldi, Winthrop, Mass., and Jean Glynn, Beverly, Mass.; two brothers, Ernest J.     South Pasadena

    • FLORA, ROBERT E., 72, of South Pasadena, formerly of Tampa, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. Born in Roanoke, Va., he came here three years ago from Tampa. He was an Air Force master sergeant, serving in Korea and Vietnam and receiving 15 medals. He was a member of the Noncommissioned Officers Club at MacDill Air Force Base. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Edith M.; two sons, Robert E. Jr., St. Petersburg, and Thomas E., Kingsport, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.     Treasure Island

    • HITE, HOWARD T., 99, of Treasure Island, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at College Harbor Retirement Community. He was born in Terra Haute, Ind. He came here in 2002 from Pontiac, Mich. He owned Hite Photo in Detroit. He was a member of the American Hermicalcis Society. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Hite, and a son, Donald W.
