COHEN, DR. HERBERT IRVING, 71, of Floral City, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in San Jose, Calif., he came to Citrus County in 1989 from Hawaii. He was a graduate of Stanford Medical School. He practiced internal medicine in Citrus County since 1989. Survivors include his wife, Linda Halinski, Ph.D.; two sons, Thomas Marc and Andrew Joel, both of California; a daughter, Susan Marie Cohen, Hawaii; and two grandchildren. Chas. E. GAUDIOSI, ROBERT ANTHONY, 56, of Crystal River, formerly of Largo, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born Orange, N.J., he came to Citrus County three years ago from Largo. He was a commercial truck driver and an Army veteran having served two tours in Vietnam. He was a musician and attended St. Scholastica Catholic Church. ROE, SALLIE TERESA, 93, of Lake Panasoffkee, died Monday (Jan. 13, 2003) in Leesburg. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here 23 years ago from New York. SCHENKER, RICHARD M., 75, of Inverness, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at home. Born in Holyoke, Mass., he came to Florida 16 years ago. He was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston and was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. STRAUSS, STANLEY M., 94, of Floral City, died Thursday (Jan. 23, 2003) at home under the care of his family, caregiver and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in Pennsylvania, he came here in 1973 from Deerfield Beach. He was the retired owner and operator of Brownstown Manufacturing Co. (lingerie) and a member of United Methodist Church of Floral City. Survivors include his son, Stanley L., Orlando; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Chas. E. VIARS, CARL R., 76, of Hernando, died Thursday (Jan. 23, 2003) in Hernando. He had been a 14-year winter resident here from his native Hamilton, Ohio. He was a sales representative with Fabreeka International, Cincinnati, with 27 years of employment. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Elks, Kentucky Colonels, and Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club. He was Christian. WENNER, EDITH J., 85, of Crystal River, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Health Center at Brentwood in Lecanto. Born in Manassas, Va., she came here 47 years ago from Jewett, Ohio. She was the retired secretary for the Bank of Inverness. She was a member of AARP and volunteered for the Key Center Thrift Store, Crystal River. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. DOMOKOS, LASZLO F., 72, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) at home. Born in Hungary, he came here 14 years ago from Highland Park, N.J. He was a receiving clerk for the Brunswick Corp. with 14 years of service. He was a member of the Hungarian Citizen Club and attended St. Theresa Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Ella; a son, Laszlo, Howell, N.J.; a daughter, Marianne Revesz, Skillman, N.J.; two sisters, Irene Laskay, Edison, N.J., and Julia Laszlo, Hungary; and four grandchildren. HAGGERTY, ROBERT E., 79, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (Jan. 23, 2003) at home. Born in Newark, N.J., he came here in 1994 from Florham Park, N.J. He was a vice-president for electrical equipment sales. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and member Marine Corps League Detachment 708 Spring HIll. He was a member of Timber Pines Golf Club. BRINSON, LOUISE F. (LAMBERT), 83, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Plant City, died Sunday (Jan. 19, 2003) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. She moved to Plant City in 1947 from Bainbridge, Ga., and moved to St. Petersburg in 1996. She attended Valdosta State Women's College and was a school teacher in Climax, Ga. She also was an FBI fingerprint technician in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church. CIMINO, ROSE CANNELLA, 91, Clearwater, formerly of Tampa, died Monday (Jan. 20, 2003). A native of Tampa, she worked in a cigar factory, the Hillsborough County School District and owned and operated the family grocery store. HU, SHU-CHEN, 82, of Tampa, died Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Tang Shan, China, she moved to Tampa several years ago from Taiwan. She was an assistant professor at a junior college in Taiwan. MASTENBROOK, FREDA F., 80, of Tampa, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Amity, Ark., she moved to the Tampa area in 1955 from Oklahoma. PATTERSON, GRACE, 75, of Brandon, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at Brandon Regional Hospital. Born in Greenup, Ky., she moved to the Tampa area 54 years ago from Baltimore. She was a custodian for 13 years with the Hillsborough County School Board and attended Dover Pentecostal Holiness Church. McINTOSH, JAY ANGUS JR. "MAC," 84, of Dade City, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Dade City. Born in Harlan, Ky., he came to Florida in 1969. He was traffic manager for A.D. Weiss Lithograph Co., Hollywood, Fla., and later owned McIntosh Transport with terminals in Fort Lauderdale and Riverview. - HAYDEN, GERALD C., 80, of Dunedin, died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2003) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Central Falls, R.I., and came here last year from Rhode Island. He was a state representative from Central Falls for 14 years and worked for the governor of Rhode Island in highway safety until he retired. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. - COADY, GERALD C., 78, of Largo, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at Palm Garden of Largo. He was born in Minersville, Pa., and came here in the early 1960s from Baltimore. He was a retired waiter from the former Showboat Dinner Theatre and Tiki Gardens restaurant. He was a Marine Corps veteran. - DUCHEK, BURTON JAMES, 72, of Palm Harbor, formerly of Clearwater, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He was born in St. Louis and moved to Clearwater in 1971. He was a graduate of Missouri School of Mines. He had a long career in aerospace engineering management and retired in 1992. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a former owner of Glen Ellen Motel & Mobile Home Park and Gulf Coast RV Rentals in Clearwater and a partner in B&B Concepts. He was an Army veteran. He was a concert trombonist and studied at the Armed Forces School of Music, Norfolk, Va. He was a graduate of Mount Union College, Alliance, Ohio, and a summer resident of Chautauqua Institution in New York. He served on the city of Clearwater's mobile home park board and the Oakleaf Village Homeowners Association. Survivors include a son, Douglas W., Clearwater; a daughter, Jennifer R.
