CADWELL, BERNICE ELZONE, 76, of Lake Panasoffkee, formerly of Tampa, died Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) at Lake Eustis Care Center in Eustis. Born in Florida, she came here in 1970 from Tampa. She was a retired motel manager, a homemaker, and Baptist. Survivors include a son, William Mullan, and a sister, Wilma Gleason, both of Lake Panasoffkee; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Chas. E. CLARK, MARK S., 49, of Homosassa, died Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Orleans County, N.Y., he came here 23 years ago from Brockport, N.Y. He was a retired storekeeper with 17 years of service for Florida Power Corp., Crystal River Nuclear Plant, and a member of Local Union IBEW 433, Tampa. FRAZER, JOHN, 72, of Crystal River, died Friday (Jan. 31, 2003) in Crystal River. Born in Queens, N.Y., he came here in 1988 from East Islip, N.Y. He was retired from American Airlines maintenance and the New York City maintenance department and was Protestant. Survivors include three sons, John, Boca Raton, Thomas, Islip Terrace, N.Y., and Donald, Crystal River; a daughter, Deborah Allen, and a brother, Charles, both of Crystal River; and eight grandchildren. SCHERBER, ROGER J., 75, of Inverness, died Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Boston, he was a retired shipfitter for Four Rivers Shipyard, Quincy, Mass., a custom bird house builder, and a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of Citrus Springs Horseshoe Club, Dunnellon, and Senior Sun Bowlers, Inverness. TACY, JAMES P., 72, of Lecanto, died Friday (Jan. 31, 2003) at Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. Born in Huttonsville, W.Va., he moved to Safety Harbor in 1961 from West Virginia, and then came here in 1980. He was a retired trucker for Globe Union, a member of DAV, and Baptist. WIGHTMAN, MARGARET H., 82, of Lecanto, died Friday (Jan. 31, 2003) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Scranton, Pa., she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening. MALLORY, PAT, 64, of Spring Hill, formerly of Hudson, died Friday (Jan. 31, 2003) at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point. Born in Moline, Ill., he came here in 1987 from Hudson. He was a retired radio technician , a Navy veteran of Vietnam, and Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Karen; a son, Kevin, Hudson; a daughter, Penny Mattix, Spring Hill; two brothers, Gary Mallory, Old Town, and Mike Mallory, Gainesville; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. STEVENSON, JAMES BRUCE, 63, of Hernando Beach, died Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he came here 13 years ago from Levittown, N.Y. He was a retired sheet metal worker for Union Local 28 in New York, a Navy veteran, and Catholic. HERRICK, ROBERT M. JR., 70, of Tampa, died Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003). He was born in Tampa and worked for Amoco Oil Co. for 44 years. LANGJAHR, MIKE, 76, of Sun City Center, died Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003). He was a Navy veteran of World War II and afterward worked as a budget analyst for East Ohio Gas Co. MURPHY, JANET L., 64, of Sedona, Ariz., and formerly of Tampa, died Friday (Jan. 24, 2003). She was born in Ypsilanti, Mich., and moved to Sedona from Tampa in 1996. She was a psychic and world-class astrologer for more than 30 years. QUINLAN, AMY K., 45, of Tampa, died Friday (Jan. 31, 2003). She came to Tampa in 1995 from New York. She was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and received a master's degree from Fordham University. She was a technical analyst with the Department of Children and Family Studies with the Florida Mental Health Institute at the University of South Florida. She was a member of Temple Schaarai Zedek and Schaarai Zedek Sisterhood. CUNNINGHAM, DAVID G. "BUTCH," 65, of Holiday, died Sunday (Feb. 2, 2003) at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs. Born in West Union, W. Va., he came here in 1964 from Clarksburg, W.Va. He was a retired customer service manager with 25 years of service for Practical Systems Inc., Odessa. He previously owned Butch's Auto Repair Service and Jack's Sunoco Service Station, both in Tarpon Springs. He attended Living Word Church, New Port Richey. MILLER, THOMAS A., 89, of New Port Richey, died Sunday (Feb. 2, 2003) at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey. Born in Summit, N.J., he was a winter resident of West Hartford, Conn. He owned Stephen-Miller Co., and was an Army veteran of World War II and Purple Recipient with two clusters. He was past president of Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, both of Summit, and New Jersey Lumbermen. He was a member of New Jersey Fuel Merchants Association, the board of directors of City Federal Savings and Loan, board of directors for Home for Children, and a member of Central Presbyterian Church, all of Summit. He retired as a mechanical engineer after 35 years with the United Shoe Machine Corp., Beverly. He was an expert skier and ice skater and a member of a men's glee club in Beverly. - SAMPSON, MURIEL MARJORIE, 78, of Largo, died Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) at Largo Medical Center. She was born in Duluth, Minn., and came here in 1957 from Minneapolis. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, where she was a volunteer for the church thrift shop. - FOX, DONALD W., 46, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) at home. He was born in Bethpage, N.Y., and came here in 1993 from Long Island, N.Y. - GILL, KAREN LOUISE WILLIAMS, 56, of Florence, S.C., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Dec. 28, 2002) in Florence. She was born in Wilkinsburg, Pa. - HARRIS, ELEANOR B., 71, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. She was born in Rochester, N.Y., and came here in 1989 from Westminster, Calif. She was retired after 26 years as an assembler and machinist at Weiser Lock Co. in Garden Grove, Calif. She attended Hope Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg and was a past president of the Church Gold Band. She collected angels, and was a ceramic artist and an avid bowler. - KIBLER, RICHARD ARTHUR "DICK," 68, of Inverness, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Jan. 30, 2003) at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he moved to Inverness in 1984 from St. Petersburg. He was a retired golf course maintenance mechanic and was the manager of the Citrus County Speedway for eight years.
