LAWSON, WILLIAM M., 90, of Brooksville, formerly of Inverness, died Monday (Feb. 3, 2003) at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in Philadelphia, he moved to Inverness in 1983 from Broomall, Pa., then later moved to Brooksville. He was a retired factory manager for Honeywell Electronics and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. He was a life member of Cassia Mount Horeb Masonic Lodge and a member of Point O'Woods Country Club. PATTERSON, CHARLES K. JR. "PAT," 83, of Homosassa, died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) at Oak Hill Hospital, Spring Hill. Born in Philadelphia, he came here in 1987 from Hudson, Ohio. He was a retired manufacturing representative and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Homosassa Lions Club and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Crystal River. Survivors include his wife, Virginia B. (Bodder); two sons, Charles K. Patterson III, Bolivar, Ohio, and James, Stow, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Brennan, Philadelphia; and two grandchildren. WYCKOFF, JOHN WESLEY JR., 68, of Beverly Hills, died Monday (Feb. 3, 2003) in Beverly Hills. Born in Englewood, N.J., he came to Florida in 1992 from Panther Valley, N.J. He was a retired tax assessor for Warren County, N.J., with 23 years of service and was an Army veteran. He also was an abstract art painter. BOUTIN, VIOLET "BRIDGET," 87, of Brooksville, died Saturday (Feb. 1, 2003) at home. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., she came here in 1979 from Warwick, R.I. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Alfred Boutin Sr.; three sons, Alfred Boutin Jr., Weeki Wachee, John J. and George D., both of Brooksville; a brother, Everett H. HAYES, MILES, 86, of Ridge Manor, died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) in Dade City. He was born in Big Rapids, Mich., and was a railroad engineer. He was a member of United Church of Christ of Ridge Manor. He considered as his greatest accomplishment receiving a 50-year token from A.A. in January. REID, ROBERT, 77, of Spring Hill, died Monday (Feb. 3, 2003) at home. Born in New Haven, Conn., he came here 12 years ago. He retired from Yale New Haven Hospital and was a Navy veteran. He was a vice-president of the Spring Hill Lions Club and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. WOLFGANG, NELDA E., 78, of Dade City, formerly of Spring Hill, died Monday (Feb. 3, 2003) at Royal Oak Nursing Center, Dade City. Born in Frackville, Pa., she moved to Spring Hill 17 years ago from Herron, Mich., and moved to Dade City two years ago. She was a homemaker. She attended the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was a member of its womens group and choir. BARTHLE, HENRY MICHAEL JR., 32, of Crystal River, formerly of Tampa, died Sunday (Feb. 2, 2003) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. He was born in Tampa. He was a Star Trek devotee and an avid reader of science fiction. FULTON, JAMES E. "JIM," 81, of Tampa, died Sunday (Feb. 2, 2003). He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Presidential Merit Award. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Katherine; two sons, Timothy C. and James E. JONES, FRANK, 84, of Dover, died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) in Tampa. Born in Ashland, Ala., he moved to the Tampa area 29 years ago from Ohio. KOKOSZKA, CLAUDETTE MARY, 56, of Valrico, died Tuesday (Jan. 28, 2003) in Cozumel, Mexico. Born in Chicago, she moved to the Tampa area in 1989. LOCK, VIRGINIA, 60, of Tampa, died Wednesday (Jan. 29, 2003). Born in Tallahassee, she moved to Tampa more that 55 years ago. She was a teachers aide with the Hillsborough County School District. She was a member of New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, the Mother's Board, Usher Board, Executive Committee and Food Bank Ministry with her church. MATHESON, NANCY H., 67, of Tampa, died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003). Born in Miami, she moved to Tampa in 1978 from Jacksonville. She retired as a registered nurse and volunteered at Metropolitan Ministries and Incarnation Catholic Church, where she was a member. A native and lifelong resident of the Tampa area, she was a domestic helper and was a member of Loving Hill Primitive Baptist Church, serving on the Mother's Board. Born in Dover, N.J., she moved to Port Richey in 1988 and recently returned to Pennsylvania. She was a retired elementary school teacher in Randolph Township School System for 29 years. Born in Nathan, Mich., he moved to Front Royal in 2000 from Port Richey, where he had resided since 1983. He was an electrical inspector for Arlington County and was a Navy veteran of World War II. FLURER, HERBERT L., 87, of New Port Richey, died Monday (Feb. 3, 2003) at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey. Born in Chenoa, Ill., he came here 23 years ago from Gridley, Ill. He was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of New Port Richey and participated in their paper drive for 10 years. - LINDEMAN, BEN, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2003) at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he came here in 1970 from Jamaica, N.Y. He received a bachelor's degree and master's degree in music from New York University and pioneered electronic music at Columbia University. He wrote the Melodious Fundamental Books and taught New York City public school children to play musical instruments. He played saxophone, flute and clarinet and wrote music arrangements during the big band era. He was a student of astronomy, Hebrew, Latin and French. He worked as a masonry contractor and graduated from Teiyko Post University, Waterbury, Conn. He was an avid soccer player and a coach for the Palm Harbor Soccer Association.
