  • BARCHIESI, JAMES J., 78, of Hernando, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at Tampa General Hospital. He was born in New York and was a retired machinist supervisor. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and attended St. Scholastica Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joan; two daughters, Donna Battista, Morganville, N.J., and Lori Thomson, Madison, Ala.; a son, Robert, Newburgh, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.   • CHARLES, GLENDON MILLARD, 81, of Homosassa, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at home. Born in Lake City, he came here 22 years ago from Hudson. He was a long distance trucker and later was the owner and operator of The Mullet Hut in Sunnyday's Plaza in Homosassa from 1987 to 1994. He was Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Valeria; two stepsons, James Pritchett, Kennesaw, Ga., and David Pritchett, Sacramento, Calif.; two brothers, Wallace T., Inverness, and Fleming, Chassahowitzka; a sister, Daphane Chason, Homosassa; three granddaughters and three grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.   • GWINN, NEIL PRESTON, 72, of Crystal River, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River. Born in Albany, N.Y., he was a seasonal resident here from Baltimore. He was a retired guidance counselor at Smithtown High School East, New York City, and a graduate of St. John's University, New York City. He was a retired route supervisor for Mechanic's Uniform Service Co., East Hartford, and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Greek Orthodox Church, Lecanto. She was a guidance counselor. He retired from Lombard Brothers Trucking and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was an Army veteran and a member of Sons of Italy and the Connecticut Club. He was Catholic.   • HENDERSON, CHARLES LAFAYETTE "C.L.," 88, of Brooksville, died Wedneday (Feb. 19, 2003) in Brooksville. Born in Tampa, he moved to Brooksville in 1955. He worked for Lykes Lines in Europe and worked for the Florida Road Department, helping build U.S. 19 in Hernando County. He was an engineer with Florida Mining and Materials, and was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brooksville. He was a founding member of the Merrymakers Club and was a member of Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Tampa, and Brooksville Masonic Lodge.   • MOORE, JAMES E. JR., 86, of Hernando Beach, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at home. Born in Somerset County, Md., he came here 18 years ago from Mount Dora. He was the retired owner and operator of several sea shell stores in Sarasota. He authored a book on finding rare sea shells in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a member of the Bradenton Shrine Lodge. Survivors include three sons, James E. She was active with many civic and religious organizations in Zephyrhills. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Judy; three sons, Anthony Merrill and John Merrill, both of Indianapolis, and Kevin Merrill, Denver; two daughters, Tina Phillips, Indianapolis, and Marnie Robertson, Georgia; a brother, John Jr.; and 12 grandchildren.
