  • ALBURY, NANCY J., 51, of Homosassa, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa. Born in Jacksonville, she came here three years ago from Miami. She was Developmental Director at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Christian School, Lecanto and a member of the church. Survivors include four children, Joshua Albany, Miami, Allyson Albury, Jacksonville, Danielle Albury, and Iesha Albury, both of Homosassa; her mother, Toni Martin, Inverness; a brother, Wayne Martin, Miami; and a sister, Lyn Cantrell, Memphis, Tenn.   • ROWDEN, CLEVA MAE, 76, of Inverness, died Friday (Feb. 21, 2003) in Inverness. Born in Centralia, Ill., she came here in 1980 from Portland, Ore. She was a retail secretary and Protestant. She was a life member of Waverly Chapter OES 54, and a Mother Adviser for Rainbow Girls in Portland and Klamath Falls, Ore.   • STEORMANN, PETER J., 77, of Beverly Hills, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) in Inverness. Born in New York, he came here in 1993 from Long Island, N.Y. He was retired after 31 years as a plate printer for American Banknote Co., Bronx, N.Y. He was past president of International Plate Printers, Die Stampers and Engravers of North America Local 58, Bronx, and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He enjoyed boating, playing Santa Claus, and card playing.   • BANTA, PHYLLIS LOONEY, 77, of Toms Rivers, N.J., formerly of Brooksville, died Friday (Feb. 14, 2003) at home. Born in Rushville, Ind., she moved to Toms River in 1996 from Brooksville.   • HENDERSON, CHARLES LAFAYETTE "C.L.," 88, of Brooksville, formerly of Tampa, died Wedneday (Feb. 19, 2003) in Brooksville. Born in Tampa, he moved to Brooksville in 1955. He worked for the Florida Road Department, helping build U.S. 19. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.   • BARKER, WILBUR S., 81, of New Port Richey, died Thursday (Feb. 20, 2003) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice House, Hudson. Born in Lansing, Mich., he came here in 1984 from Harrison, Mich. He was a salesman with 29 years of service for Sears, an Army veteran of World War II, serving 41 months in the European Theater, and a Board of Education member with nine years of service in Lansing. He was a lifetime member of VFW and the Fraternal Loyal Order of Eagles 1039, Lansing.     • BOWEN, WILLIAM E., 68, of Belleair, died Sunday (Feb. 16, 2003) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He was born in Louisburg, N.C., and came here in 1983 from Senoia, Ga. He retired as a DC-10 captain for United Airlines after 29 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, serving as a major in the Vietnam War and serving in the Air Force Reserves from 1965 to 1970. He was a 1955 graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga., and was a member Church of the Isles Congregational, Indian Rocks Beach, where he served on the Church Council Board of Trustees and as an usher. He was a member of the University of Georgia Alumni Association, Delta Tau Delta fraternity, TAC Recce, Retired United Pilots Association, Masonic Lodge 82, Senoia, and Belleair Country Club. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Marilyn P.; a son, Stuart L., San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Katherine E. Hommert, Alameda, Calif.; a brother, Dr. Richard L., Hattiesburg, Miss.; a stepsister Joanna Gilmer, Asheboro, N.C.; and three grandchildren. He was a member of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, the Bronx. Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Norcia, Clearwater, May Medaglia, Royersford, Pa., and Marianne Cocchini, Warwick, R.I.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.     • SHELLMAN-DEMERS, SALLIE A., 60, of Clearwater died Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2003) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. She came here in 1959 from her native Huntington, Pa. She worked as a bank teller and retired from Bank of America and from Publix. Survivors include her husband, Timothy R. Demers, Clearwater; two sons, Randall Edwards and Mark Edwards, both of Clearwater; and a grandson, Damon Vedder, Florida. She was born in McKeesport, Pa., came to St. Petersburg in 1965 from New Jersey and moved to Clearwater in 1975. She was a member of Suncoast Bible Presbyterian Church, and former member of Central Bible Church, St. Petersburg, for several years. She was active in the Women's Fellowship of Clearwater Christian College and Largo Seminole Women's Bible Study. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Arthur E.     • FARR, GEORGE W., 64, of Olean, N.Y., formerly of Pinellas Park and Largo, died Sunday (Feb. 9, 2003) at the Olean Hospital. Born in Allegany, Pa., he moved to Largo in 1969 from Olean, moved to Pinellas Park for several months in 2002 then returned to Olean. He was a meat cutter and then worked for Dresser Clark, a manufacturing company in Olean. He was a steel cutter in Florida until he retired in 1989. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School, Pinellas Park, and Clearwater Central Catholic School, and attended St. Petersburg Junior College, now St. Petersburg College, and the University of South Florida.
