  • LAWRENCE, RICHARD KEITH "DICK," 62, of Hernando, died Thursday (March 6, 2003). He came here 28 years ago from his native St. Petersburg. He was a military clerk. Survivors include an aunt, Marian V. Heim, St. Petersburg; and three cousins, Larry Heim, St. Petersburg, Sharron Nelson, Altamonte Springs, and Nancy Lenhoit, Deland.   • SABELLA, EDWARD N., 81, of Inverness, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at Citrus Health and Rehabilitation of Inverness. Born in New York City, he came here 18 years ago from Staten Island, N.Y. He was a retired ironworker and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6391, Third Degree.   • EGGLESTON, RICHARD R., 77, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (March 5, 2003) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. Born in Bangor, Maine, he was a winter resident from Brewer, Maine. He was a retired woods foreman for Eastern Fine Paper and was Protestant. He was a Shriner and a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Eggleston. National Cremation Society, Brooksville.
  • FERDINAND, JOHN JOSEPH, 83, of Spring Hill, died Thursday (March 6, 2003) at Kidred Hospital, Tampa. Born in Allentown, Pa., he came here 17 years ago from Bergenfield, N.J. He was a commercial bus driver and a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Spring Hill. He was an Army veteran serving with the 458th Bomber Squadron during World War II.   • CASTRO, ANALINA "NALI" GARCIA, 76, of Tampa, died Tuesday (March 4, 2003). She was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A lifelong resident of Tampa, she hand-rolled premium cigars and worked in the MacFarland Park Elementary School lunchroom and with her husband in their family business, Lucky Seven Grocery. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, L'Unione Italiana and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a retired factory worker for Pender Peanut Co., Marianna. She was a member of Hoskie Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood, and Home Mission Lodge Order of the Eastern Star, Marianna.     • PACKARD, PRESTON D., 87, of Clearwater, formerly of Palm Harbor, died Thursday (March 6, 2003) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He was born in Brockton, Mass., and came here in 1977 from Norwell, Mass. He was president and treasurer of Preston D. Packard Insurance Agency Inc. of Avon, Mass., and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was 60-year member of Porter United Church of Christ and member of Baalis Sanford Masonic Lodge, both of Brockton. He was past monarch of Shedad Grotto, Brockton, past president of New England Grotto Association, two-term president of AARP Chapter 110, Clearwater, vice chairman of the Republic City Committee and Brockton Housing Authority and a trustee for the United Fund. He did volunteer work for WUSF Radio Reading Service, worked on membership development for the Greater Clearwater Chamber of Commerce and was executive director of the Business Assistance Council of Clearwater. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, and the Tampa Bay Symphony, where she was a violinist. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. He worked for a Westinghouse team in Pittsburgh that built the Nautilus, the first atomic powered submarine, and was a machinist for General Electric in Largo. He is survived by his brother, John Paul Baker, Berlin, Pa.; and two sisters, Mary Bolland, Pittsburgh, and Margurite Lester, Cabot, Pa. Born in Robstown, Texas, she came here in 1979 from San Pierre, Ind. she was a retired business owner. Survivors include three daughters, Sondra Rizzo and Clarinda Koceja, both of St. Petersburg, and Jennifer "Pinky" Virden, Pinellas Park; two sisters, Annie Marie Alvarado and Margaret Shultz, both of Portage, Ind.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.     • MYERS, BERNADETTE D., 53, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (March 4, 2003). She came here in 1957 from her native Columbus, Ohio, She was a production inspector in the space division of Honeywell International, where she worked for 23 years. He was a welder for the Florida Department of Transportation for 22 years. He was Baptist.     • WEBB, GEORGE T. JR., 78, of Gainesville, Va., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (Feb. 26, 2003) in Fairfax, Va. Born in Helenwood, Tenn., he moved to Gainesville, Va., in 2002. He retired from the Air Force and was a bomber pilot in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received 19 medals and commendations, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Nelda Crabtree Webb; two daughters, Nancy Stickles, McLean, Va., and Rebecca Hofstetter, Nashville; a son, George T.     • LeCROY, DR. CARLOS D., 60, of Tierra Verde, formerly of Tampa, died Friday (March 7, 2003) in the emergency room at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., he came here in 1989 from Tampa, where he was an endodontist and a partner in LeCroy, Delgado & Kamaris, PA for 24 years. He was a 1969 graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa, a 1973 graduate of Emory University Dental School in Atlanta, and a 1979 graduate of the Veterans Administration endodontic program in Miami. He was a Green Beret reservist. He was an avid boater and fisherman and attended Island Chapel in Tierra Verde. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Barbara; a son, Jon, Maplewood, N.J.; his mother, Mary Louise LeCroy, St. Petersburg; a sister, Willow Pscion, Tampa; and two grandchildren. E.
