Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeff Brouse, son of Donna Royal of St. Petersburg and grandson of June and Tom Lewis of Largo, has returned from deployment to the Mediterranean Sea aboard the USS George Washington and was recently promoted to his current rank. He is stationed in Norfolk, Va. He has received the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Force's Expeditionary Medal and the Navy Good Conduct Medal. He attended St. Petersburg High School.
