  • CRAIG, NELSON W., 77 of Spring Hill, died Friday (March 28, 2003) at home. Born in Camden, N.J., he came here 17 years ago from Haddon Heights, N.J. He was a telephone salesman in Camden, an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, and Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Jean; two sons, Robert, Haddon Heights, and Andrew, Spring Hill; two daughters, Linda DuPont, Barrington, N.J., and Elizabeth Powers, Spring Hill; and eight grandchildren. He was retired after 35 years of service as Deputy Chief for the New York City Fire Department and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.   • ACKERSHOTT, LEE L., 69, of Brandon, died Saturday (March 29, 2003) at Tandem Health Care. She was born in Kentucky and came to Brandon in 1982 from Ohio. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She was an auxiliary member of the VFW, and a member of Moose and AMVETS, all in Ohio. She was a member of the Brandon Eagles. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II and retired from the Motor Wheel Corp. He was a member of the Elks and Moose lodges. He was born in Kenosha, Wis., and had been coming here since 1987 from Suffield, Conn. He retired as president and chief executive of Conval Inc., Somers, Conn. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., and earned a master's degree in automotive engineering at Harvard Business School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Mason. He formerly owned and operated Burton's Seafood Shanty in Largo and was retired from Sun Coast Hospital, Largo. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Dunedin. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Betty; two sons, William Jr., Dunedin, and Michael, Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Marie Knowland, Safety Harbor, and Tina Bellin, Seminole; and eight grandchildren. He was born in Dunedin and was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, Safety Harbor.     • BLANCHARD, NORMAN F., 74, of Eagle, Wis., and a seasonal resident of St. Petersburg, died Friday (March 28, 2003) at St. Anthony's Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and had been coming here for many years. He was a first mate officer for U.S. Steel for 40 years on the ore freighter Roger Blough, which sailed the Great Lakes. He was an Army veteran. He was an avid sailor.     • CAKE, GILBERT L. JR., 82, of Palm Harbor, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (March 29, 2003) at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He came here in 1960 from his native Washington, D.C. He was a mixologist and worked in the entertainment industry. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served with the forces that occupied Japan. He was a member of Palm Harbor United Methodist Church, the VFW, the DAV, the Lions Club, the Elks Club, the American Legion and the German American Club.     • FOSTER, ANNIE BEATRICE, 78, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (March 29, 2003) at Bayfront Medical Center. She came here in 1930 from her native Cordele, Ga. She attended Gibbs High School. She was a former employee at Huber Nursing Home and Suncoast Manor Retirement Home. She was a Primitive Baptist. She was born in Whitman Creek, W.Va., and came here in 1976 from Charleston, S.C.     • LACASSE, THE REV. AIME F., 90, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (March 30, 2003) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. He was born in Manchester, N.H., and came here in 1992. He was a Catholic priest with the Missionaries of Africa, serving in Tanzania and Burkina Faso. He served as a chaplain on the hospital ship Hope and during World War II for the British Army. He was a pastor for parishes in Wynne, Ark., and locally was assistant pastor at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and chaplain at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines.     • KRAMER, FRANCES "FRAN," 65, of Seminole, died Saturday (March 29, 2003) at Largo Medical Center. She was born in New York City and came here in 1996 from Cincinnati, where she retired as an office manager at Tribol Co. She was a greeter at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Alexander J.; two sons, Jeff A. Kramer, Fairfax, Va., and Mark A. Kramer, Mundeleine, Ill.; a daughter, Karen F.     • GOLDSTEIN, GERTRUDE, 88, of South Pasadena, died Saturday (March 29, 2003) at the Health and Rehabilitation Center at Dolphins View, South Pasadena. She was born in New York City and came here in 1980 from the Bronx, N.Y., where she was a member of Young Israel. She was a homemaker.     • STORM, ROBERT J., 88, of Hanover, Pa., formerly of Treasure Island, died Wednesday (March 26, 2003) at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, York, Pa. A native of Hanover, he came here in 1973 and returned to Hanover several years ago. He worked at Goodfellow Car Sales and Peterman Pontiac, both in Hanover, and retired after 20 years at Staub Chevrolet in New Oxford, Pa. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Elks. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife Marie (Warehime); a son, James Storm, Seminole; a daughter, Shirley R.
