In 2002, Webb's song Turtle Tears, a lament for the plight of Florida's loggerhead turtles, took first prize in the Will McLean Best New Florida Song contest. Citrus digest: Man accused of smuggling tobacco into county jail
LECANTO -- A Beverly Hills man has been accused of hiding a plastic bag containing tobacco underneath each insole of his Nike tennis shoes and then smuggling the tobacco into the Citrus County jail. About 2 a.m. Thursday, Casey R. Carter, 22, of 32 N Tyler St. was taken to the Citrus County jail after being charged with violating probation stemming from a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a jail official and an arrest report. The bags of tobacco were found while Carter was being searched. Carter was charged with introducing or possessing contraband at the county jail. He was being held there late Thursday in lieu of $2,000 bail.
