  • GREBENC, JENNIE A., 89, of Lecanto, died Friday (June 20, 2003) at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Born in Aurora, Minn., she came here in 1975 from Chisholm, Minn. She was a member of Highlands Civic Association, The Foresters, Our Lady of Fatima Parish, and Catholic Woman's Club. Survivors include a son, Franklin, Inverness; a daughter, Jane Fore, Petersburg, Ill.; two brothers, Joseph Milklousich, Inverness, and Edward Milklousich, Virginia, Minn.; a sister, Mayme Rebrovich, Aurora; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.   • NEELANS, ROY E., 76, of Brooksville, died Friday (June 20, 2003) at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville. Born in Enfield, Conn., he came here 14 years ago from Broad Brook, Conn. He was retired from Broad Brook Volunteer Fire Department as Chief Engineer and Dexters, Incorporated of Windsor Locks, Conneticut. He was Past President and Vice President of Senior Citizens Club, Hernando Council 1, Little League Coach, Cub Scout Master and coach of softball for the volunteer fire department. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with his family.   • RICCIUTI, COSMO ANTONIO, 95, of Weeki Wachee, died Friday (June 13, 2003) in Spring Hill. Born in New Haven, Conn., he came here six years ago from Northford, Conn. He was owner and operator of a coffee shop in the Kilfeather Film Building, New Haven, which was a motion picture facility for companies such as MGM, RKO, and Universal. He later worked as a machinist at several machine shops. His hobbies were playing violin, reading and carpentry.   • FERNANDEZ, LIGIA LABANDERA, 85, of Spring Hill, formerly of Tampa, died Thursday (June 19, 2003). She was a member of the Tampa Women's Club for more than 32 years, a member of the Bonaire Garden Club for more than 35 years, and a member of the Royal Court of Naids, Mardi Gras New Orleans, in 1975 and 1976. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Sunlight Social Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and was active in the Egypt Temple Shrine as the wife of a noble for many years.   • EVANS, ERNEST W. JR., 83, of Hudson, died Thursday (June 19, 2003) at home. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he came here 10 years ago from Paducah, Ky. He was an engineer with 38 years of experience. He worked at the atomic bomb pilot plant at Columbia University, the K-25 plant in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and was transferred to the Paducah Atomic Plant in 1951.     • BLACK, MARGARET "PEGGY," 77, of Clearwater, died Monday (June 16, 2003) at Comprehensive Healthcare, Clearwater. She came here in 1958 from her native York, Pa., where she was an assistant to the chief surgeon at the Naval Research Laboratory. She also was an assistant to the research director of a dental supply company. She worked as a public information specialist for Family Counseling Center. She received a degree in human services from St. Petersburg College. She taught classes in creative writing and art. She was a playwright and produced many productions for small theaters, including the York Little Theater, where she also performed. She was an avid painter, sculptor and drawer and enjoyed swimming, dancing and leather crafting. She wrote many short stories and articles for Chilton Construction Magazine. She was a volunteer at UPARC, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the gifted programs in local schools. She was a lector and eucharistic minister and participant in the Spirit of God Charismatic Renewal at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Clearwater.     • BRONSON, GERTRUDE M., 93, of Baldwyn, Miss., formerly of Clearwater, died Friday (June 20, 2003) at her daughter's home. She was born in Dubois, Pa. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of First Christian Church, Clearwater. Survivors include a daughter, Gretchen L. Browne, Baldwyn; three grandchildren, Sheri B.     • CHOATE, RUFUS W., 50, of Clearwater, died Thursday (June 19, 2003) at home. He was born in Monterey, Tenn., and came here in 1987 from Bossier City, La. He retired as a salesman for Diebold, Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Largo, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Grand Rapids, and was an avid golfer and bridge player. He was born in Anaheim, Calif., and came here from Albuquerque, N.M. about 10 months ago. He worked as a bartender at Cody's Original Roadhouse. He served in the Marine Corps for five years. He was an engineer and worked for Delta Tool Take, Arlington Heights, Ill. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Dunedin. He served in the British Army. He was a member of the Tampa Bay Celtic club, Elks Club and Scottish American Club.     • APOSTOLU, PHILIP, SR., "PHIL, THE GOLDEN GREEK," of Largo, died Thursday (June 19, 2003) at home after a long illness. He came here in 1973 from his native Hull, Mass., where he had retired as a foreman for Hull Municipal Light Plant after 21 years. He served in the Army during World War II and was held as a prisoner of war in Germany from 1943 until 1945. He was a member of the Clearwater Lodge 127 F&AM, Egypt Temple Shrine, and the Scottish Rite. He was Greek Orthodox. She was born in Newark, N.J., and came here in 1997 after living in Mahopac, N.Y., and Beacon, N.Y. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Mahopac and Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, Safety Harbor. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, William A. Born in Kiev, Ukraine, she came to Florida in 1975 from Long Island, N.Y., where she was an engineer draftsman for Burmar Associates for 15 years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Russian Orthodox Church in Gulfport, past president of the Russian American Club in Gulfport and a representative to SPIFFS in St. Petersburg. She retired in 1989 as a bookkeeper for the Fowler White law firm. She was Protestant. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a homemaker and Methodist. Survivors include a daughter, Jane R. Muller, Odessa; three grandchildren, Lauris Bemis, Masaryktown, Kari Leiphart, New Port Richey, and Richard Muller, Tarpon Springs; six great-grandchildren; and her companion, Claude Ripon.     • THERRIEN, PAUL E., 73, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (June 20, 2003) at home. Born in Manchester, N.H., he came here in 1980 from Candia, N.H. He was a forklift operator for the Wood Co. in Clearwater for eight years. He was a National Guard veteran and was Catholic. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Corinne; three sons, Daniel, Fort Deposit, Ala., and David and Richard, both of Seminole; two sisters, Lucille Howland, Texas, and Terry Therrien, Manchester, N.H.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. National Cremation Society, St. Petersburg.

    • ANNARELLI, ANNETTE M., 79, of Seminole, died Saturday (June 21, 2003) at home. Born in Inwood, N.Y., she came here in 2001 from Cedarhust, N.Y. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole. Survivors include her husband, John J.; a son, James Annarelli, Seminole; a daughter, Marianne Vinci, Inwood; two brothers, John Capobianco, Hewlett, N.Y., and Michael Capobianco, Inwood; a sister, Anne Esposito, Boca Raton; and three grandchildren.     South Pasadena

    • GARDNER, FRANCES C. GARRETSON, 100, of South Pasadena, died Friday (June 20, 2003) at the Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay. Born in Erma, N.J., she came here in 1978 from Ridgeway, N.J. She was a public school teacher and supervisor of the home economics department in Ridgeway and Philadelphia. She was a member of Second Church of Christ and the Kayer Association. Survivors include two nieces, Harriett Miller and Frances Mary Garretson, both of Erma; and a grandnephew, Leslie C. Miller III, St. Petersburg. Beach Memorial Chapel, St. Pete Beach.
