  • ASHLEY, DONALD HAYWARD, 83, of Lecanto, died Friday (July 11, 2003) in Inverness. Born in Detroit, he came here in 1989 from Fort Lauderdale. He retired from the commercial real estate business and was an Army veteran of World War II.   • BROWN, ELVA L., 87, of Beverly Hills, died Wednesday (July 2, 2003) at Life Care Center of Citrus County, Lecanto. Born in Everton, Mo., she came here 20 years ago from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. She was a homemaker, a former Sunday School teacher in Upper Saddle River, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Inverness, where she was also a member of the choir.   • CASTLEDINE, MYRL I., 81, of Hernando, died Wednesday (July 9, 2003) in St. Louis. Born in Stuartstown, Pa., she came here in 1979 from Indianapolis. She was a retired Management Analys for Fort Benjamin Harrison Federal Finance Center, a volunteer at Hernando Elementary School for years, and a member of Hernando United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia, St. Louis, Mo., Gayle Wetherell, Fort Wright, Ky., and Linda, Bloomington, Ind.; a brother, Ken Webb, Hernando; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.   • GENCORELLI, MADELINE E. EASTLUND, 100, of Beverly Hills, died Friday (July 11, 2003) in Crystal River. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here in 1970 from Long Island, N.Y. She was a a retired bookkeeper with 25 years of service with Neptune Water Meter Co., Queens, N.Y., and a volunteer craft teacher at the Key Center in the 70's. She was a member of Senior Center Craft Club, Lecanto, and attended Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Citrus Springs. Survivors include a daughter, Madelyn Hickey, Beverly Hills; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.   • RUSSELL, ELMER J., 91, of Citrus Springs, died Thursday (July 10, 2003) in Crystal River. Born in Waterbury, Conn., he came here in 2001 from Gilroy, Calif. He was a retired toolmaker/machinist for Scoville Manufacturing and a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Citrus Springs.   • BRUBAKER, LULA MAE, 86, of Brooksville, died Friday (July 11, 2003) at Heartland of Brooksville. Born in Ledbetter, Ky., she came here 35 years ago from Christopher, Ill. She retired as a clerk for the Civil Service in Chicago and was Baptist. Survivors include four sons, Lawrence Cluck, Jay , Michael Cluck, Odessa, Charles Cluck, Land O'Lakes, and Ronald Cluck, Brooksville; a daughter, Barbara Johnson, Brooksville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.   • MORTON, EDWARD R. "BUCK," 87, of Brooksville, died Thursday (July 10, 2003) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Born in Istachatta, he was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a master carpenter, a member of Elks Lodge 2582 and Civilian Conservation Corps, an avid ballroom and square dancer, fisherman, hunter, and was Methodist.   • SINKHORN, HERBERT R., 72 of Brooksville, died Monday (June 30, 2003) in Brooksville. Born in Pineville, Ky., he came here in 2002 from Fayetteville, N.C. He had 22 years of service with the Air Force, retiring as staff sergeant and was a veteran of Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Rolande; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.   • SAVIANO, FRANCES PELLEGRINO, 90, of St. Pete Beach, formerly of Tampa, died Tuesday (July 8, 2003) in South Pasadena. She came here in 1951 from her native Tampa. She was head cashier for the city of St. Pete Beach. She was Catholic. She enjoyed fishing and bowling and was a member of the Timber Topplers Bowling League. She was a former president of the Pass-a-Grille Volunteer Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary, a docent at the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum and a longtime member of the Italian Club in Tampa. Born in the Netherlands, he was a sales engineer and manager for a machine tool distributor in Long Island, N.Y. He was a member of Masons, Florida and New York, he and his wife were past patron and matron of Eastern Star, past president of Shrine Club, New Port Richey, and a volunteer at Shriner's Hospital, Tampa. She was born in Brooklyn N.Y, came to Bradenton in 1974 from Long Island, N.Y, and moved to Clearwater in 1998. She was an engineering aide for Grumman Aerospace of Bethpage, N.Y. She was a retired bookkeeper for a paint supply company and enjoyed computers and genealogy. She worked for the U.S. government for 26 years as the chief of the Administrative Office for Procedure Analysis at Rossford Ordnance and at Detroit Arsenal. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and making crafts. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Canton, an avid golfer and a member of Stark County Amateur Golf Association. She was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., and came here in 1986 from Pelham, N.Y. She worked in sales for the Pelham Sun newspaper for 10 years. She was past president of the condo association at On Top of the World and was current president of Morton Plant Mease Caring Clowns. She was a volunteer clown with Hospice Comedy Connection, served on the board of directors of Leading Ladies with Ruth Eckerd Hall and enjoyed needlepoint. He was born in Chicago and came here 37 years ago from Hoopeston, Ill., where he owned Graham's Tavern after retiring from the Illinois State Racing Association and worked for the original Burdines department store in Miami Beach. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Largo, and International Brotherhood of Electric Workers and enjoyed fishing at Redington Pier.     • CLARK, MATTHEW WAYNE JR. "MATT," 47, of Palm Harbor, died Thursday (July 10, 2003) at Morton Plant Hospital of natural causes. He came here in 1988 from his native Rumford, Maine. He worked as a registered nurse for Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, Clearwater, where he was head nurse and team leader and was named 2001 Nurse of the Year. He was an Air Force veteran of Vietnam. He attended St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, Largo. He enjoyed sports and photography. She was a certified internal auditor for SunTrust Bank for 18 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 238, Safety Harbor, for 12 years. She was a 1983 graduate of Countryside High School and a graduate of the University of South Florida. He was born in Attica, N.Y., moved to Spring Hill 30 years ago form Tarpon Springs and moved to New York in 2002. He was a machinist with Bell Aerospace for 35 years. He was a member of the Bell Aerospace Quarter Century Club, past member of Bergholz Fire Co., LaSalle Masonic Lodge and LaSalle Sportsman Club. Survivors include his wife, Doris; a daughter, Deanna L.     • GIACALONE, JEAN C., 82, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (July 10, 2003). Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came here in 1972 from Uniondale, N.Y. She was a teacher's assistant at Tyrone Elementary School. She was a member of Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church and the Ladies of the Elks Lodge 1224. She was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Benjamin F.     • MORRIS, CHARLES "CHUCK," 78, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (July 10, 2003) at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute. Born in Malta, N.Y., he came here in 1952 from New York. He retired as a plumber in 1987 after 35 years. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 123, the Suncoast Gem and Mineral Society, the Suncoast Wood Carvers and First Unity Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
