  • BARNES, DAVID FREDERICK, 48, of Lecanto, died Saturday (Aug. 2, 2003) in Lecanto. Born in Gainesville, he was a lifelong resident of Lecanto. He was a self-employed stone mason. He was a former Florida State Arm Wrestling Champion. He enjoyed playing his guitar and shooting pool. He was Christian. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Ann; three daughters, Suzanne Melynda Barnes and Shay Marlyne Barnes, both of Weirsdale, and Shalynn Melissa Barnes, Ocala; and a stepson, Bill Shultz, Holder.   • FELLOWS, ANNA M., 91, of Beverly Hills, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) in Beverly Hills. Born in Chicago, she came here in 1977 from Port Huron, Mich. She was an elementary school teacher and dietitian. She was a member of the Beverly Hills Art Guild and Beverly Hills Community Church. Survivors include her daughter, Carol A.   • MANDATO, ALBERT E., 90, of Inverness, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003) at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He came here in 1985 from his native Flushing, N.Y. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service supervisor and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.   • McKENZIE, BARBARA, 70, of Hernando, died Sunday (Aug. 3, 2003) at home under the care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in Delaware, Ohio, she came here in 1993 from Lancaster, Ohio. She enjoyed country music, the guitar and singing. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.   • SCHLESKY, HOWARD J., 73, of Citrus Springs, died Friday (July 25, 2003) in Green Bay, Wis. Born in Little Falls, Minn., he came here in the mid-1980s. He was an Army Signal Corps veteran serving during the Korean War. He was stationed in Tokyo and was a high speed telegrapher. He was a retired director of safety with the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of Citrus Springs Golf & Country Club and Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of Citrus Springs. He was a signal maintainer for the New York City Transit Authority. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War serving as a jet engine mechanic from 1953 to 1956. She worked at Tampa General Hospital as a registered nurse and was a volunteer at Nativity Pastorial Care. He came here in 1968 from Crystal Lake, Ill., and was a part owner and bookkeeper of Cardinal Caregivers, Palm Harbor. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and served on the USS Enterprise. He worked as an auto sales consultant. He was an associate member of First United Methodist Church of Largo and a member of Masonic Lodge 409 F&AM, Duncan, S.C., and Egypt Shrine Temple, Tampa. Survivors include his wife, Martha; two daughters, Shana Bryant, Largo, and Deanna Phillips, Hilton Head, S.C.; a son, Jeffrey, Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Kenneth, Campobello, S.C., and Donald, Inman, S.C.; and four grandchildren.     • HAMILTON, LOREN VINCENT JR., 81, of Largo, died Tuesday (July 29, 2003) in Largo under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He came here from his native Elmira, N.Y. He graduated from Hobart College and owned and operated Loren Hamilton- Building Contractor, as a professional designer and builder of custom homes for 16 years in the Elmira area, then worked as an architectural specifications writer for King & King Architects in New York, and later for Mudano Associates in Fort Myers, Tampa and Clearwater. He was a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Washington, D.C. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Elmira, the Clearwater Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution, and the Clan Hamilton Society. He was a genealogist and with his wife wrote and published family histories for the Hamilton, Brotzman, Ayers, Shepard, Collum and Bunyan Families and was a member of several genealogical organizations including the Hamilton National Genealogical Society.
