ALBERO, CONSTANCE MARIE "CONNIE," 79, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Born in Old Town, Maine, she came to this area 16 years ago from Enfield, Conn. She was a homemaker and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. CANTONE, DOMINICK, 89, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at Avante Nursing Home in Inverness. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he came here 17 years ago from North Carolina and was Catholic. Survivors include two brothers, Ralph, Ocala, and Joseph, California; two sisters, Mary Donato, Ocala, and Assunta Palma, Spring Hill; eight nieces and nephews. D'ALTO, PAUL A., 77, of Beverly Hills, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003) in Inverness. Born in Queens, N.Y., he came here in 1985 from Merrick, N.Y. He was a county government construction inspector. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Jennie Caesar; two daughters, Donna Vandenhoff, Kettering, Ohio, and Debora D'Alto, Crystal River; and three grandsons, Ritchie D'Alto, Miamisburg, Ohio, Butch Ogden and Paul Ogden, both of Tampa. AMENOWICZ, ANNA, 89, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003) at Forest Oaks Nursing Home in Spring Hill. Born in Czechoslovakia, she came here more than four years ago from Chicago. During World War II, she worked as an interpreter for the American military and with the Czech Underground. She was Catholic. BIGGUM, EUGENE M., 72, of Brooksville, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, he came here 13 years ago from Ocala. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for lime rock mining. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a life member of VFW Post 6713. BOTHE, ROBERT, 73, of Sun City Center, died Monday (Aug. 4, 2003) at Brandon Health and Rehabilitation Center. He moved to Florida three years ago from Hatboro, Pa. GAFFORD, ROBERT FRANKLIN "FRANK," 56, of Dover, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003). Born in Georgia, he was a longtime resident of the Tampa area. He was a handyman. AMUNDSEN, MARY, 99, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Holiday and Tarpon Springs, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at Manorcare of Pittsburgh. She had lived in Tarpon Springs and Holiday before returning to her native Pittsburgh. She was a telephone operator and former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Holiday. COVINO, JEAN, 81, of Dade City, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at University Community Hospital in Tampa. Born in Bronx, N.Y., she came here seven years ago from Tampa. He was a Navy veteran with 20 years of service as a steward. He was a member of the VFW and DAV serving as past commander. He was Methodist. He came to Florida in 1934 from his native Columbus, Ohio, and was sales manager for Holcomb-Roth Associates, Miami. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. He was Presbyterian. She was a hairdresser and worked for Mamezella on Clearwater Beach. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and the church's Women's Guild, Clearwater, the Clearwater Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary. She owned and operated a restaurant for 10 years in Thailand and for two years in New York and also worked as a traffic lights tester for 10 years in New York. She was Buddhist. - BRADEN, WILLIAM F., 71, of Tarpon Springs, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003) at home. He was born in Guernsey County, Ohio, and came here in 1988 from Cleveland. He owned and operated Braden Photography Studio for 23 years in Cleveland and Clearwater and taught photography at Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He founded the Cleveland Mountaineering Club and was a member of the National Ski Patrol. He was an avid sailor, boat builder, marksman and gunsmith.
