  • GARRETSON, DAVID DWIGHT, 55, of Citrus Springs, died Thursday (Aug. 7, 2003) at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Born in Madison, W.Va., he came here 15 years ago from Stratford, Conn. He was an automotive mechanic and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Linda (Chittem); two daughters, Cheri Serrano, Dunnellon, and Amy Sain, Citrus Springs; two brothers, Robert and Garry, and a sister, Mary Byron; and five grandsons.   • KAISERIAN, ALICE (ARAXIA), 89, of Lecanto, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003) in Lecanto. Born in New York City, she came here in 2002 from Asbury Park, N.J. She and her husband operated a restaurant in Asbury Park for over 50 years. She was a member of the Episcopal and Armenian Churches and the Armenian General Benevolent Union.   • ARLHUNA, H. STUART, 51, of Brooksville, died Tuesday (July 29, 2003) at home. Born in White Plains, N.Y., He came to Florida in 1960 from Pittsburgh. He was a licensed practical nurse employed by James A. Haley VA Medical Center, Tampa. He was a member of "The Fourteeners," a mountain-climbing club. He was involved in environmental conservation. She taught high school for 37 years in New Port Richey, Clearwater and Washington-Lee in Arlington, Va., where she became chairwoman of the music department and supervisor of vocal music of Arlington County schools. She received a master's degree from George Peabody College for Teachers in 1949. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Delta Gamma, the Quota Club and other educational organizations. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, Clearwater.     • HAMILTON, LOREN V. JR., 81, of Largo, died Wednesday (July 9, 2003) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He came here from his native Elmira, N.Y. He began his career as a designer and builder of custom homes in the Elmira area and operated as Loren Hamilton -- Building Contractor for more than 16 years. Later, he became an architectural specifications writer and worked for King & King Architects in Elmira, Albany and Syracuse, N.Y., and Mudano Associates in Clearwater, Tampa and Fort Myers. He was a member of Construction Specifications Institute, Washington, D.C., Trinity Episcopal Church, Elmira, Clearwater Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution, the Clan Hamilton Society, Hamilton National Genealogical Society and other genealogical organizations. He and his wife wrote and published family histories for the Hamilton, Brotzman, Ayers, Shepard, Collum and Bunyan families.     • LENCZYK, EDNA J., 78, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Aug. 7, 2003) at Grace Health Care of St. Petersburg. She came here in 1959 from her native Philadelphia. She was a certified nursing assistant at Majestic Towers in South Pasadena for 16 years. Survivors include a son, James, St. Petersburg; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.     • OLSON, CHARLOTTE L., 80, of Commerce, Ga., formerly of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at home. Born in New Castle, Pa., she lived here from 1958 to 1977. She was a graduate of Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts.     • GILLESPIE, HENRY T., 78, of Seminole, died Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2003) at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He was born in Chatham Hill, Va., and came here in 1952 from Rural Retreat, Va. He was a welder for Economy Machine for 12 years and a welder and burner for 20 years with Misener Marine. He was a member of Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty L.; two sons, Thomas H. and Michael J., and a daughter, Gail I.     • VOURGARAKIS, ATHENA, 85, of South Pasadena, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2003) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, South Pasadena. Born in Bridgewater, Mass., she came here in 2001 from Manchester, N.H. She was a member of St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg. She was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society, Daughters of Penelope, the Pan Macedonian Association of USA and Canada, where she served as vice president of the Alexandros Chapter and as a delegate at international conventions. She was an avid traveler. Survivors include her husband, Costas; and two sisters, Androniki Triantafilou, St. Pete Beach, and Areti Nikolaki, Greece. David C.     • PAYNE, JEANNE L. "NANA J," 77, of Treasure Island, died Thursday (Aug. 7, 2003) at Bartlett Regional Hospital, Juneau, Alaska, after suffering a stroke aboard a cruise ship. Born in Rochester, N.Y., she came here in 1968 from Dallas. She was a homemaker and worked in the family Optimart business. She was a member of Pasadena Presbyterian Church.
