TORONTO - The Raptors traded center Mengke Bateer to the Magic for forward Robert Archibald on Friday.
The Raptors also sent Orlando the rights to 2003 second-round draft choice Remon Van de Hare and the option to swap second-round draft positions at the 2005 draft.
Bateer averaged 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds in seven games with Toronto.
Archibald, the first native of Scotland to appear in an NBA game, has three points and two rebounds in two games. Orlando acquired Archibald from Phoenix on Dec.26.
HEAT 112, MAGIC 101: Eddie Jones scored a season-high 33, including four of Miami's 11 3-pointers, and the host Heat withstood a late rally. Orlando trailed 103-101 before the Heat scored the final nine. The Heat's point total was a season high. Orlando's Tracy McGrady scored 22 in 47 minutes despite a groin and hip injury. ... PISTONS 93, SUNS 81: Richard Hamilton scored 26 and Ben Wallace had 22 rebounds and 10 points for host Detroit, which extended its win streak to four and has not allowed 100 points this season and 33 games overall to tie the record set by New York in 2000-01.
