DES MOINES, Iowa - With the Iowa caucuses looming, seven Democratic presidential candidates will gather here today for a key, nationally televised debate.

The debate is being hosted by the Des Moines Register and produced by Iowa Public Television. It can be seen on C-SPAN at 3, 6 and 9 p.m. It is also scheduled to air on CNN and Fox News.

The debate comes just 15 days before thousands of Iowa Democrats gather in caucuses around the state to haggle over who to support as the party's nominee.

Retired Gen. Wesley Clark and the Rev. Al Sharpton will not take part in the debate.
