HOLIDAY - A 43-year-old registered nurse was arrested early Sunday after authorities said he battered his wife.

Roger Gordon Schultz, 4712 Koala Drive, works under contract at the Pasco County Detention Center in Land O'Lakes, said Pasco sheriff's Lt. Skip Stone. Schultz faces charges of simple domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence.

According to a sheriff's office report, Schultz got into a verbal argument with his wife about 3 a.m. Sunday. He grabbed her arms and ribs and pushed her out the door, the report says.

Schultz was released from the county jail later Sunday on his own recognizance.
