NEW PORT RICHEY - Authorities said an argument between two brothers late Saturday escalated into an attack with hedge clippers.

Robert Scott James, 27, of 4516 County Breeze Drive, will face charges of aggravated domestic battery. A sheriff's report says he was fighting with his brother, Keith James, 23, over Keith holding parties in their parents' house.

Robert then slashed at his brother with a pair of hedge clippers, causing deep cuts to Keith's left arm, the report says.

Robert told deputies he meant only to scare his brother. He was released from the county jail Sunday, after posting $2,500 bail.
