PORT RICHEY - Authorities arrested a 36-year-old Georgia man Saturday, saying he illegally used gift cards to obtain refunds on stolen Wal-Mart merchandise.
According to a report, Joseph Townsend Ison, of Midland, Ga., was found with dozens of forged, altered Alabama driver licenses in his car. Ison will face charges of fraudulent refunds and unauthorized possession of altered driver licenses.
The report says he was running a system of obtaining refunds totaling $418 from the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 8701 U.S. 19.
Ison remained in the county jail Sunday in lieu of $55,000 bail.
