Jack Rybicki has been elected to the board of directors of Tampa Bay Technology Forum and will serve as treasurer for 2004. Rybicki is senior manager for Chastang, Ferrell, Sims & Eiserman LLC, Tampa.

John Temple has been named vice president of the transportation division for TBE Group, Clearwater. Temple retired as director of operations for District 7 for the Florida Department of Transportation.

Dr. Dawn R. Bhasin has become a fellow in the Fellows of the American College Surgeons. Bhasin is an ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon at Guggino Family Eye Center, Tampa.

TradeWinds Island Resorts, St. Pete Beach, has named Judy McKay and Jennifer Priem as tour and travel sales managers. McKay was the owner of Ideas Unlimited, St. Petersburg; Priem was a regional trainer for Signature Inc., the TradeWinds reservation and front sales desk training company in Dublin, Ohio.

Acordia, Clearwater, has promoted Charlie Robinson Jr. and Ken Jacobs to senior vice presidents of commercial lines from vice presidents of commercial lines.

Suzanne LaBerge has been elected to the board of directors for the Guardian Association of Pinellas County and will serve on the the board of directors for the Grand Central District Association Inc. in 2004. LaBerge is a partner and elder law attorney for the law firm of Gruskin & LaBerge, St. Petersburg.

Ruth Barnes Kinsolving has been included in Florida Real Estate Journal as one of the top 20 women in commercial real estate. Kinsolving is a shareholder and practices commercial real estate law for the law firm of Carlton Fields, Tampa.

Carolyn House Stewart has been included in the 2003 edition of International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women. Stewart is a shareholder and practices in the areas of labor and employment law, personal injury, eminent domain, insurance defense, commercial litigation and products liability for the law firm of Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen, Tampa.

Sylvia H. Walbolt has been recognized by the Tampa chapter of the Federal Bar Association with the 2003 George C. Carr Memorial Award, its highest award. Walbolt, the first woman to receive the award, is a trial and appellate lawyer at the law firm of Carlton Fields, Tampa.

Mike Newton has been named vice president of human resources-North America for BPB America, Tampa. Newton was vice president of human resources for Blue Circle-North America, Marietta, Ga.

Jeremy LaPine has been promoted to chief operating officer for Sunbelt Staffing Solutions Inc., Tampa. LaPine was vice president of sales and marketing.

Shannon Conely has been named an account manager for Seneca Data, Syracuse, N.Y. Conely, who will be based in Tampa, was a sales representative for Best Software, St. Petersburg.

The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority, Tampa, announced these appointments: Mary Shavalier, to director of planning; and Mary Haban, to community liaison. Shavalier was a senior project manager with Day Wilburn Associates, Atlanta; Haban was a writer/producer for WFLA-Ch. 8, Tampa.
