Riverview woman injured after being run over by car

TAMPA - A 41-year-old Riverview woman was critically injured Monday morning when she was run over by a car driven by her husband, police said.

According to the Tampa Police Department, Julie Pape was a passenger inside a car driven by her husband, Frank Pape, when, for undisclosed reasons, she got out of the passenger door of the moving car and was struck by its rear wheels.

The accident occurred at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Amberly Drive shortly before 9:30 a.m. Julie Pape was flown to a hospital where she was listed in critical but stable condition with several broken bones. The investigation is continuing.
